Yep. And sports is really what keeps me w/ satellite. If you care about more sports besides the NFL (where you can get by with OTA), it's pretty hard to go streaming only (unless you're piggy-backing on somebody else's accounts).

I haven't gone streaming only. Sports is part of the reason, I've stuck with satellite. I also like watching docuseries shows on cable networks, and there are some scripted shows, on basic cable, that I like watching live, or, at least, with in a few days via DVR or provider log in apps.

I have Amazon Prime, Netflix, and HBO Now. I've used Prime mostly for shipping, but I've gotten to like the streaming service and some of the selection. I was totally surprised by Prime's series Transparent. I've used Prime to catch up some previous seasons of shows that Netflix doesn't have. With Netflix, I watch a lot of documentaries and older seasons of shows. I have gotten to enjoy some of the Netflix original shows.

Streaming, to a small extent has effected my physical buying habits. I still buy BDs of movies that I really love and I also enjoy listening to commentaries and seeing deleted scenes. I also enjoyed that about TV on DVD and BD. It is good to get some commentary on some of the episodes of shows. I enjoyed listening to some of director's commentary on House of Cards. I hope there will be another commentary on some of other Netflix shows.

I'm 30 and I'm in the millennial generation. I would say that about, half of my friends, in that group, have gone streaming only. Others are sticking with cable/satellite, due to sports and a few don't do streaming at all, due to Internet service data caps.

My parents are in their 60s and got into Netflix last year. They still have cable, due to sports, and my parents also like watching several shows in real time and they are also CNN and MSNBC junkies. They will turn to Netflix, if they can't find anything they like, and they have used to catch up on past seasons of current shows. My sister is about 90% streaming. She watches some broadcast shows OTA.

I'm pretty sure they did away with the Xbox Live requirement to use video streaming apps.

We pay for cable TV only because the package with it was cheaper than internet only. It's a very basic package with about 40 channels. It's pretty much only use is Disney Channel for my daughter.

We have Amazon Prime streaming by default, but rarely use it.

We keep Netflix because we still have the $8 price, but rarely use it.

I only watch TV of any kind an average of an hour a day tops, and most of that is a DVD or BD a couple times a week.

Another one here that still has cable, mainly down to the sports (NFL, soccer).

We pay about $140 a month for digital with DVR which also includes HBO; plus out Internet is 50mbps - so I'm pretty happy with that to be honest. I don't think our bill has gone up more than $10 over the last 5 years due to the various packages/deals I've been able to get in on.

We have Netflix for $8 a month and I don;t buy any more DVD's/blu rays anymore so have cut down on the physical media

I haven't had cable television since I moved out of my parent's house 17 years ago. I used over-the-air for a few years, then switched to Netflix discs. About 6 years ago I switched to streaming only, using solely Netflix.

I cut the cord about a year and a half ago. We have netflix and Hulu. I just got 2 years of Amazon.

For netflix, radioshack had a free 6 month service with any phone purchase. I bought 10 phones for around $5 each and resold them for around $20 each and kept the 5 years worth of netflix.

Hulu I have a shared account that I paid around $15 for, it's supposed to be a lifetime account but I already got a few months from it so it's been worth it.

Amazon had a deal a few months ago where you get a year of prime for $72 so I got 2 years. I was using someone's shared account that I paid $20 for a year of prime(only shipping no media), but that shared account expired a month ago.

I torrent and I will stream a sporting event online from some overseas feed.

Me. Cut the cord earlier this year and haven't thought twice since.

We have Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime (which I rarely use).

I also torrent any shows not on those services, plus movies, although I also have a library of around 3000+ film and TV shows on DVD/BD so we're never at a loss.

I'm lucky as I work for a cable company and get my services for no charge (other than equipment). I think even if I didn't work at my current job though that it'd be hard for me to go streaming only and not have some form of cable. I know it can be costly but its a luxury I like having so unless I was really needing to cut back on expenses I just don't think I'd do it.

I got rid of the cable about a year ago, I've got Netflix and really don't watch much tv except for the local morning news and maybe thirty mins of Netflix before I crash at night.

I won't "cut the cord" until there are legal streaming options for regional sports teams. I don't see that happening anytime soon.

Same, I'll never cut the cord since I need cable to watch the Lakers locally (and if the Dodgers cable rights shit show ever gets sorted out). That and other sports that air on ESPN, TNT, etc.

I also still enjoy watching various other shows during the TV season week to week and still actually channel surf on occasion for background noise. Still buy the occasional Blu-ray, although i've cut back considerably.

Otherwise we have Netflix that gets a decent amount of use, and I have Amazon Prime although I signed up for shipping reasons and not for streaming and only occasionally stream some movies or shows.

I cut over two years ago.

Hulu Plus, Netflix and HBO Now are the main ones I use. I have Amazon Prime (for the shipping) and there are some things I watch on that also. The only sport I watch is the NBA and I use ballstreams for that which lets you watch any game (local, espn, tnt). It's been invaluable for a far better price then NBA League Pass which doesn't get you the majority of games you want to watch.

We cut the cord yesterday. My wife will miss Bravo, but I'm not as concerned about that.

I cancelled my cable a few years ago, and have never subscribed to satellite TV. I stream (Netflix and Amazon Prime), OTA TV, physical media, and..er..torrents. I don't watch sports at all, so all the methods I use provide my family and me with more than we could ever want to watch.

I streamed for 4 years but have had cable for the last year because my GF wanted it. I just secured another 1 year deal with U-verse so i am going the cable route for another year.

Happy girlfriend means happy life.

She figured out how to use her parents' cable info to give her access to the Bravo app, so we're good.
