I've always been afraid of this but it at least seems that people got to keep p+ after the 30 days are up. And I haven't seen anyone say they got essential only, where did you see that (which forum/site?)

https://www.sportsline.com/insiders/...to-sportsline/

  • Paramount+: If you pay full price for a SportsLine subscription, you can take advantage of a 30-day free trial for the Paramount+ Essentials plan.

I assume new subscribers will also only get the Essentials tier.

I looked on Reddit and basically everyone is saying the "deal" is only for 30 days now and not a full calendar year like before.

Ah. Well I guess I'll stick to my essentials plan for now then.

Re: Paramount+ with Showtime - ViacomCBS streaming service

I am getting frustrated with the Paramount+ app (on Roku, I don't know if it's the same on other devices). I have the 'with ads' subscription. I was watching Mobland recently and a few times I wanted to rewind just 20 or 30 seconds to catch some bit of dialogue I missed. But instead of letting me do this, the stream jumps back to the previous ad break--which may have been ten minutes earlier--and replays the ad and then streams the show from that original ad break point. No matter what I tried, I couldn't get it to let me rewind and restart from any other position than an ad break. I had to just let it play from there to get back to where I was before. So annoying. I'm not going to renew my sub if that's how it's going to act from now on.

I mean, duh. You can’t fast forward during a live football game to skip the ads as that would break the space-time continuum. Sorry bout that.

Re: Paramount+ with Showtime - ViacomCBS streaming service

Yeah I'm binging a Daytime Soap on on Paramount + currently and i have to occasionally rewind at times. And while i get it...CAPITALISM... what I hate is the breaks are full breaks. I think a 15sec or even a 30sec break tops is tolerable, but them forcing a 90sec to 2min break just for rewinding a couple minutes suuuuucks.

Espn+ has breaks without commercials. It’s just a static screen.

That's ESPN+ content, not shown on cable. Their broadcast games still have commercials, right?

No. If something is on ESPN proper and you instead watch it on ESPN+, you won't see commercials. Just a static image with text telling you a commercial break is happening.

I don't know if that's true for both live games and recorded content. I only do it for live games.

Okay. I don't have that service. When I stream an NFL game on the ESPN app, it includes commercials, though sometimes a static graphic at the end of a commercial break as well.

I think it only works when it's something that is being broadcast on ESPN. Not something that ESPN+ is streaming from another service like Fox or CBS.

I have Paramount+ with Showtime thru Prime and I am binging Star Trek Discovery and having to watch a 50 second ad before each episode is getting to be enough for me to cancel. What makes it even worse is it the same fucking ad for some show about female gangsters in Chicago.

Regular Paramount+ does that too. Seems like they feel if they are promoting their own shows, it doesn't count.

There have always been ads for their own shows (before a show) on Paramount Plus in the pay tier, even back when they were called CBS All Access.

I don’t know if it still works but when I had P+ if I immediately went back to the menu then played again the ad would get skipped.

Paramount + just pulled all 26 seasons of South Park from their library. The specials are still there.

It's also on HBO Max. They signed an extension.

I never saw any South Park on Paramount+ except for the specials. What was I missing all this time?!

Ahhh. Decker missed the fine print. It's Paramount+ outside America. It's on HBO Max in the States.

International markets. Not US market, because none of that has ever been on P+. The merger has delayed all of it coming over from HBO Max. Matt and Trey have been very vocal about how they are getting screwed over

Anyone else having issues with loading shows on Rokus? I can't get many shows to load on my device but they will on my LG OLED TV app.

So ESPN adds WWE but loses UFC (both belonging to the same parent company)?

Yeah I thought the same thing.

As I said in the UFC thread... get ready to pay more for Paramount +
