It’s no commercials with Showtime. I think it’s the default plan when you link Sportsline to it.

I attempted this and was offended 30% off. I hesitated and couldn't get that back. Will try again before our subscription is up on 2/24.

The Crow is up on P+ in 4L DV/5.1 via Apple TV 4K app. The 4K disc is set for May.

Is 4L one tick better resolution then 4K?

While still looking for a possible merger, Paramount and WBD is off the table now.

Paramount Global Is ‘Leaning In’ to Content Cost Cuts
https://variety.com/2024/tv/news/par...ut-1235925973/

"The [value] unlocking process will include a $1 billion write-down to be taken in the current quarter. [...] Most of the write-down ($700 million to $900 million) will stem from existing TV shows and movies that will be yanked from Paramount’s various digital and linear platforms and development projects that will be scrapped."

I guess they're doing a promotion for P+ and the Stallone reality show. 1-month free trial with coupon code: FAMILY

I wonder if the Stallone show is coming back. In Season 1, they released them weekly, like most of their original series. This year, they dumped them all at once, as if didn't care about building any hype/ongoing enthusiasm for it.

I cancelled after SNW S2 ended but just tripped to check out S2 of Halo. Did they do away with any option to omit commercials?!

No. You have two plan options, "Paramount+ Essential" or "Paramount+ with SHOWTIME". Paramount+ Essential has commercials. Paramount+ with SHOWTIME has no commercials, includes Showtime, and live TV.

Even the "with Showtime" option often has pre-roll internal promos, but it's usually only about 30 seconds.

No they still have both plans. Essential is with ads. The one with showtime is ad-free.

They do force a CBS/Paramount ad when (at least) the first thing you watch starts. But it can be bypassed by immediately going back to the home page and restarting.

Signed up with the “family” free trial code, since my dad wanted to watch Halo season 2.

Fourth time I’ve signed up with Paramount and have yet to pay for it. The trial codes work every time (single email, not making new accounts).

Anyone notice that the Family Stallone show is being dumped onto YouTube shortly after it drops on Paramount+? Not sure what to make of it. I haven't seen a single episode, but sounds like Paramount+ doesn't value it that much.

I don't see it available on YouTube for free. The seasons are on YouTube but you have to buy Paramount Plus to watch them or buy the seasons individually.

They are there

Here is episode 8 that dropped days ago. It's in the "Videos" section.

Edit: This is actually season 1.

Re: Paramount+ with Showtime - ViacomCBS streaming service

Interesting. I searched for it, but only found ones you had to pay for. I didn't think of looking at the Paramount Plus YouTube Channel. They show a commercial for it every time I start a reality show on Paramount Plus. I'm surprised that they've dumped it for free on YouTube. Edited to add: Those are also season one episodes. Maybe they're trying to get people hooked so they'll pay for season 2 on Paramount Plus?

Thanks, I didn’t notice that. I saw Showtime and didn’t want that so skipped it.

However, I went back to change it. Of course the app tells me I “purchased” through Apple so to go change it there. I did, however, it reflects billing me for a whole new transaction when I just purchased days earlier. It should charge me the prorated different for the month.

Do I contact Paramount or Apple for such a billing issue?!

It's not unusual for Paramount+ to drop full seasons onto Youtube for free to entice people subscribe to their service to watch the new seasons of shows.

They've done it with Star Trek: Strange New Worlds and Star Trek: Lower Decks. They'll also drop the odd first episode of a new season onto Youtube, too, like for Star Trek: Picard.
