I'm curious what you use for internet. I feel like Uverse has me by the balls because if I take off tv, they cap the internet, and I wouldn't imagine regular cable companies are much different.

If you get Spectrum in your area then that's the way to go.

I have Wave Broadband. I tried calling to cancel my cable, but I was on hold for 35 minutes and nobody answered!

So I went to the Wave local office the next day and returned my DVR equipment. They didn’t even try to beg me to keep cable haha Asked to upgrade my internet and the lady offered me a price for High Speed 100 that was $25 lower than what is on the price rate card ($45 vs $70 regular). Maybe a promo price? Not sure, but I wasn’t going to complain. I asked how much for unlimited data and she said $10 more per month, which also isn’t on the price rate card for that speed level. I couldn’t have said “yes” to that offer any quicker haha

Looking forward to this well reviewed zombie pic with Lupita Nyong’o on Friday. Little Monsters, I believe...

I’d never heard of Little Monsters until this thread but wow, that was a damn good movie.

Re: Hulu -- News and Notable New additions

Does Hulu DVR cut off anyone else's shows?
I've noticed that the last 30 seconds or so of shows like Superstore and The Good Place are cut off. Now, maybe it's their fault, because they actually do "show" into the credits instead of cramming the show into a 1/4 screen size so they can have credits and the show and a commercial at the same time (spoiler: I prefer Superstore's and Good Place's way). But my dvr has been ending during the credits so I miss the last little bit (and the funny job offerings at the end production card).
Is there a setting that I can make it record 5 minutes early and late, like DVR boxes let you?

Wait. Have we been not noticing (or skipping past) a funny job offer at the end of every Superstore all these years?

I think it's Superstore. At the very end of the ep, on the production title card (maybe that's what it's called?) At the bottom there's always three other things the company does. Like
"Microloans / Nanorobots / Minishrimp".
It's a little thing and has thing to do with the show but I like it and look for it.
Plus, of course, still missing the part of the show that runs thru the credits (I didn't see what they did to the robot on the roof a couple eps ago. )
I tweeted to Hulu support. They said "yeah we know. Sorry."

Community could be leaving Hulu in 2021

https://deadline.com/2019/10/communi...et-1202759400/

It's been shopped by Sony when their deal with Hulu ends.

I read that Hulu was going to be adding 4K support to LG WebOs devices, has anyone heard anything about this? Would that apply to OLED TVs?

WebOS is coming soon, so I would believe that means their OLED products.

It means it's up for grabs. Anyone can buy the rights, including Hulu again. Sony wants a big pay day like they got for Seinfeld moving to Netflix.

Doesn’t help that it shit the bed halfway through it’s run due to Harmon being fired. Even after he was hired back the ship never fully righted itself. Didn’t help that the last season was web-only.
I plan a re-watch soon, but will probably stop after season 3.

Imo s6 is significantly better than 4-5. The entire series minus s4 is rewatchable

It was a step in the right direction, but was just too little too late. And being on a streaming platform nobody used certainly didn’t help.

Just got an email from Hulu saying the Hulu + Live TV plan will increase from $44.99/month to $54.99/month on Wednesday, December 18, 2019. Grrr...

Re: Hulu -- News and Notable New additions

Just because the live TV streams on the internet vs. cable or satellite, it doesn't mean it's going to be immune to price increases. Programming costs go up all the time. It's not cheap for Hulu to acquire the rights to local channels, sports and such.
