Netflix Streaming Issues on Certain Devices
I've had a LG Blu-ray Player with Netflix for about four years now, and the Blu-ray has just about had it, so I bought a new Sony Blu-ray player with Netflix. Here's my issue:
The streaming on the new Sony is horrible. Everything plays at 240SD and is virtually unwatchable. When I try playing the same content on my PS3, at best it goes to 360SD (which has always been an issue and why I never use the PS3 Netflix.) But when I go back to my old LG player, I get HD quality from Netflix every time. So it's not my internet service, it's my player (and PS3.)
Is there a setting I can change somewhere on the Sony player to improve the HD streaming? The players and PS3 are all hardwired, not WiFi, and my download speed on my modem is between 16-20 Mbs.

Re: Netflix Streaming Issues on Certain Devices
Whenever an issue like this comes up, always check if your Sony BD player has the latest firmware update released by Sony. This occasionally solves the issue because Netflix is an extremely complicated software platform with changing code.
