These Are The Most Streamed Movies And TV Shows Of The Decade, According To Vudu

Vudu's Top Streamed Movies 2010-2019
1 - Frozen
2 - The Avengers
3 - Guardians of the Galaxy
4 - Zootopia
5 - Moana

According to data provided by Vudu, 2010 through 2019 was dominated largely by Disney. From the decade of the superhero to the always reliable animated hits, Disney-owned studio productions owned all five of the top slots of the decade. Frozen took the top spot as the decade’s most-streamed movie, followed closely by Marvel's The Avengers, the first team up film that laid the groundwork for the decade bookend of Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame — both of which are sure to hold top spots in the next decade. Another Marvel adventure, Guardians of the Galaxy, occupied the third spot. The final two spots were taken up by Disney animated films, with Zootopia claiming the title of fourth-most streamed film of the decade and Moana rounding out the top five.

On a year by year basis, each part of the decade was dominated by a blockbuster. Films like Inception, The Hunger Games, and A Star Is Born all became top streamed films. Meanwhile, Marvel films dominated the purchased category, taking three of the top spots in different years. Here’s a full list, provided by Vudu:

I got True Grit and Hostel. Also finally pulled the trigger on the El Mariachi, Buffy, and Matrix (have the first one on HD DVD and all on DVD—never got around to BD) bundles just so I can stop thinking about buying them.

I don't even get purchase receipts from Vudu often.
They currently have a bunch of Doctor Who (reboot) on sale.
It looks like about 5-10 bucks a season for the first 11 seasons with the bundles - about 90$. Season 12 looks to be full price but that's the current season?

I *think* getting these gets all the reboot seasons till the current one (maybe not some of the specials):
Doctor Who: The Christopher Eccleston & David Tennant Years (Bundle) - S1-4
Doctor Who: The Matt Smith (Bundle) - S 5+6
Doctor Who: Season 7 Parts 1 and 2 (Bundle)
Doctor Who: The Peter Capaldi Years (Bundle) - S 8-10
Doctor Who: Season 11

So - good price? Worth a purchase? Any seasons/doctors that should be skipped (keeping in mind I'm a bit of a completionist). Or just wait for HBOMax?
I haven't seen much of the new who because i only intermittently had BBCA and the seasonality of the show was very confusing.

(Side note - interesting that there's a ton of Disney/Marvel/Star Wars stuff on sale. Trying to tempt those few people who didn't sign up for D+).

Season 12 has only aired one episode so far. So that's the current season.

Looking through those bundles, you do end up missing some specials: "The Snowmen" (between Season 7 Parts 1 and 2), "The Day of the Doctor" & "The Time of the Doctor" (both between Season 7 Part 2 and Season 8), and Resolution (between Season 11 & 12).

For The Snowmen, The Time of the Doctor, and Resolution, you can buy them as individual episodes on Vudu for $1.99 each. The Day of the Doctor doesn't appear to be for sale on any streaming service at the moment.

In addition to the specials, there's a number of little shorts that have been made, that either are intended to be watched between seasons or as short "prequels" to a given episode. None of them are really "essential," aside from arguably "The Night of the Doctor," but they're nice extras and often get overlooked.

I grabbed 6 Waltons seasons (2-7) for $30 on the classic tv mix and match 3 for $15, no idea if it's a great deal, but I did want to get a bunch of these in case they start to disappear from Amazon

Yeah, I did a big blitz before the end of the year so I’d have to dig around to find more, and they’d likely be $5 conversions, so only 10% off. I’d still like to convert them, though, assuming I’m not paying for something I’d never watch just to hit my 10 (and if that’s the case, I might as well just toss the DVD.

I did find it interesting that their marketing mail included a TV show, Fear the Walking Dead. I thought it had always been movies only.

Newer seasons of The Walking Dead work, as well as Ash vs The Evil Dead, and Black Sails scan as entire series for $5. I think there's others as well.
