Beasts of No Nation finally found a movie theater chain that will show the movie (Landmark), in addition to its debut on streaming. The movie will be available October 16th.
Directed by Cary Fukunaga (all of True Detective S1) and starring Idris Elba <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/oRsaclO0VbU" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
Re: Netflix - News & Discussion
OK, this is a long shot but maybe someone can help me out with this.
As of a couple of days ago, Netflix starting doing something really annoying when viewed through my PS3 app. Before when I browsed titles and clicked on one, it would take me to a screen with more show information and some options like "Play", "Rate", "Add to Queue" with a still image from the show. Now when I click on anything, there are still those options but the show itself starting playing full-volume from the start in the background. It's really really annoying. This doesn't happen when viewing Netflix on other devices (like PC or iPad). Does anyone else know what I'm talking about? And if so, do you know how to get rid of it? |

Re: Netflix - News & Discussion
Now that I have a 4K TV, I upgraded to get the Ultra HD tier. They have a few 4K titles available for streaming. Most are Sony, and include the following:
Lawrence of Arabia Hitch My Best Friend's Wedding Jerry McQuire Bad Asses on the Bayou (yea?) The Patriot And the spate of TV shows, including: The Blacklist Long more Breaking Bad House of Cards Chef's Table Marco Polo Sense8 Grace and Frankie Daredevil I just hope they put up some non-Sony movies up. |
Re: Netflix - News & Discussion
They'll get there, Amazon originals are also posted in 4K (Alpha House, Bosch, Casanova, Gortimer Gibbons, Hand of God, Just ass Magic, Mad Dogs, Mozart in the Jungle, etc; ) and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon as well.

Re: Netflix - News & Discussion
Seeing Lawrence of Arabia in 4K is absolutely incredible. Very vibrant seeing it this way. But I think I'll skip watching Hitch.

Re: Netflix - News & Discussion
Netflix is starting to dry up for me. Maybe I watched too much in the past. In a few months there should be more too watch. At least with Hulu there is always something new too watch.

Re: Netflix - News & Discussion
Narcos is the only thing you mentioned that would be of interest too me. I prefer the older tv shows.
Comedies, for the most part, have run their course(for me,at least). At the most,I will watch 2 seasons of a tv series per year(that way I don't get burned out). For the rest of the year I need too watch a couple of seasons of Dr Who, season two of Weeds, season two of Perry Mason(CBS All-Access) and season two of Alfred Hitchcock Presents. |
Re: Netflix - News & Discussion
That's why I like being able to switch between Netflix regions, it opens up the variety of choices tremendously.
|
Re: Netflix - News & Discussion
I can always go back and watch movies on Netflix,as long as I have only watched it once this year and it has been at least 90 days since the last viewing.

Is there a site that tells you what is on netflix in other regions like instantwatcher for the U.S. ? It would be helpful. I agree that it gives you so many more options.
