A word of warning to anyone before they watch this. I'm a big horror fan and thought this movie was a steaming pile of shit. The acting was truly some of the worst that I've seen.

I can take Gambit off the Redbox list.

Also interestingly they added Hava Nagila The Movie. I've heard about it before.

Just finished all 3 seasons of 30 Days by Morgan Spurlock. He definitely has an agenda and you can tell what it is (there was a jail episode with someone detoxing inside his cell and he says he made it though the night ".... barely." Like they're really going to let someone die in a cell detoxing, if the person was in danger they'd have them off under medical supervision, they'd get sued if they let someone die detoxing) but it's good to get you thinking of things. For one ep I was actually "on his side" (with the same views as the one the ep seemed to espouse) and I changed my mind by the end  Highly recommend it, all 18 eps were awesome as conversation starters.

Going to watch Inside Man next, about the same format, 8 eps of about 40 minutes each exploring various topics. He also has Mansome and directed part of Freakonomics. Also directed a 30 for 30 ep, Inside The Dotted Line. Inside Man S1 is one of his most recent undertakings (2013... S2 was 2014, already all out but not on streaming).

I've had Roku a few weeks and don't understand why Hulu Plus will play forever and a day and Netflix stops after every tv episode and asks if you want too continue to the next episode. Wish you could make a playlist so you don't have too bother will the remote every time.

Re: The OFFICIAL Noteworthy New Arrivals to Netflix Thread

Depends on the individual implementation. For example the PS4 Netflix just goes to the next episode automatically.

Yeah, on the Roku 3 it also starts the next episode automatically, and skips the recap and intro on quite a few shows.

One thing you could try, go to netflix.com, go to your account and then "Playback Settings". Then check to see if the box for "Play Next Episode Automatically" is checked.

cool-thanks

Just checked it out. It was checked as play next automatically but I guess I never saved it. Watching Ringer now so shortly I will see if it works.

Update: It still doesn't go to the next episode and this is a day later and it should have been updated on Roku.

The point of Autoplay on my Sharp TV's Netflix app is kind of ruined since after 3 or so episodes it starts asking "Are you still watching?" Just keep playing till I tell ya to stop! Hated how it skipped over the recaps too, I'm anal so I need to let those play (and thank God nothing I have does that stupid end credits break-in thing I've heard about!)

I was browsing through Netflix Canada and they just added the first season of Brooklyn Nine Nine. I know Hulu+ has it but is nice to watch it without commercials. I'm glad to have a VPN service to switch between countries.

If you are in the US, you need a VPN service or change your DNS number through your device to change your location. Canadians do it more since the US offers better TV shows and movies.

Netflix Canada only offers S5-7 of Murdoch Mysteries.

I really hate how some shows only have a few seasons or are missing episodes, They do this with law and order and many others.

You can Airplay it to the ATV from an iPad/iPhone.

But if you're interested in AcornTV, I'd recommend getting a Roku.

Huh they added The Stand on the 2nd and that wasn't on the list, so they add even more stuff than posted! May have to make it a Stephen King night with Cujo which is available also :) Have never read or saw the movies I had no idea The Stand had to do with a virus, I thought it was court-related. I like virus outbreak movies. 6 hours and 6 minutes that can't be right

Yup, and not a good one. The book was brilliant, though.

I've been about halfway through the book for at least a year. Even by King's standards, it's loooooooonnnnngggg.

The best part of The Stand is that they rented out the church I was attending at the time and filled it with corpses.

Kind of reminds me of Danny Boyle's story about filming 28 Days Later. He said that when they told the priest that they wanted to write " THE END IS VERY FUCKING NIGH" on the wall of his church, he was just thrilled.
