Yup, I just tried it and got one immediately!

Now that it's back, does anyone mind posting tips for us newbies? Is taking advantage of this as simple as opening a few other email accounts and making purchases with those email accounts and the $5 promo codes, resulting in another $5 to your original account? Or does Amazon actually do some checking to try and prevent this? I sent myself a referral at a secondary email address and made a purchase with the $5 code using the same credit card and shipping address I normally use, and while this order appears to have gone through fine, I haven't yet received a $5 promo code on my primary Amazon account.

i used to just make a bunch of email addresses and save the numbers and then just use my primary account to do all the ordering (the bonus $5 still came) I just tried it, and it let me do it once, but the second time it told me to send the g/c to someone else, so they might have changed it with their "update"

You have to wait until the first order has already shipped before you can use another.
