I've noticed a few other threads discussing the "new" high prices at Samgoody.com and Suncoast.com, but I haven't seen anyone mention whether this is a permanent change or not. So, is the pricing at Samgoody.com and such a permanent change? I want to pre-order the new Dragonball Z DVD's -- they seem to be the only online store which carries the recent issues -- but, at $22.99 each, even using a gift card it just seems too high.

I have seen nothing to indicate that it is not permanent change. I'm guessing it has something to do with being bought by Best Buy. Someone posted something here about a rumor that they would be stopping their normal retail operations within the year. If true, that doesn't bode especially well for their on-line stores.

Bestbuy.com has competitive online pricing -- It doesn't make any sense to me that they would choose to price Samgoody.com and such in this manner.
