Well, we received our second dvd from HMV today, and why was I not surprised that it was used. It was used a lot! Looked as though it may have been a rental at one time.
What are the chances that we receive the only 2 used dvds out there that hmv sent?
I am lucky because I just exchanged them in the retail store, but what about you in the U.S?
Has anyone else had this happen? (these are the only times that I have ordered from them)
Im guessing, but I figure that if you have a gift certificate, you get a better chance of getting a used one and hmv is hoping that most people wont do anything about it, but I personally feel that that is bad business either way.
Anyone else out there with a similar experience, or did we just have a round of bad luck?

However I did complain both times and they had no problem with "fixing" it. I also told them that I am now hesitant (in fact I am actually positive I will not buy from them again) to purchase from them. In response to that they sent me an e-certificate for 10.00. So once I get my new garageband g.c., I will use them together and be done with hmv.
I am glad that this hasnt happened to anyone else though. Like I said in my previous post, I am lucky bc I live near an Hmv and just went and exchanged for a new dvd. I would not have wanted to have to pay for the postage to mail it back to them.
