They have it as $24.98, but isn't it supposed to be $19.98?

You are correct sir... Well, if Image Entertainment has it right (and they usually do).

I will write them and see if I get a response... *cough* *cough*

Ok.. just sent them the following... we will see what I get in response.

quote:
Could you check with your supplier on something? My order includes the 2/6 release of the JFK DVD. Based on every bit of information I have seen, the list price of that item is not the $24.98 you indicate, but instead $19.98. For example:
http://209.164.32.182/imagesite/prod...roductID=14949

That, even without a % off would make it less than the $19.99 it is currently showing at.

I purchased it very early (November) when it was still marked at 30% off (see my price of $17.49 in that order).

If your list price was correct, then at the 20% off you currently have it at, the correct price would be $15.98. But if you had the correct list price at the 30% that I really ordered it at, the correct price would be $13.99.

If what I say above is correct about the list price, could you adjust the price of my preorder to $13.99? And should the current price be lowered to $15.98 as I describe above?

Please respond so that I can make an informed decision about where I will be purchasing this disk.

Thanks,

I'd be interested in their reply. DVD Price Search and DVD Review also quote the MSRP as $19.98.

Well... What they gain in response speed (less than 4 hours!), they lose in usefulness of information.

quote:
Dear Joe,

Greetings from Amazon.com.

This DVD has changed price since you ordered it and I apologize that your order was not updated. I've changed it though to the current price of $17.49.

Please let us know if you have any other questions and thank you for shopping at Amazon.com.

Best regards,

Responded basically with - WTF? Did you actually read my original email??? Their website still shows $19.99 at 20% of the incorrect $24.99.

I'll let you know what becomes of that.

Well... This is disappointing...

quote:
Dear Joe,

Thank you for writing to Amazon.com.

At this time, the studio has told us that this DVD will have a list price of $24.98. At this time, we have not received any updated price information from the studio, and we are unable to change the official list
price of this DVD until we hear from the studio. I do apologize for this.

Please don't hesitate to contact us should you have any further questions, and thanks for shopping at Amazon.com!

Best regards,

Douglas Carter

Well, I did get 40% off the high MSRP, so it was $17.49. Buy.com has it at the same wrong MSRP and it is $17.99 there. So if you haven't ordered yet, that might be the way to go. Or if you have an Amazon $10 off $35 you could go that route at their $19.99 price.
