Anyone have any buying experience with A&B in Canada? Good or bad feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks!
Beno.

A&B is a fixture here in Vancouver. Can't say that I've ever shopped online (why would I when I can walk down the street to one??) so can't tell you what that's like, but the stores themselves are very good, especially the Seymour St (downtown) location. An entire room filled with DVD's at extremely good pricing.

They've always been a price leader here. Their Boxing Day Sales are the things of legend (they helped start the Vancouver trend). People couldn't believe it when they started selling Top 40 music CD's for between Cdn$10-15 years ago, and I'm happy to buy most of my DVD's from them for between Cdn$18-24.

Hey, thanks for the info Bollux. I just wanted to hear their website claim of a "chain of retail stores" was accurate and they weren't a fly by night.

I'm debating on getting X-Files Seasons #1 annd #2, and their prices are the best!

Fhrx, here's their link: http://www.absound.ca/music/dvd/dvd.html

I've made 3 orders from them, very fast shipping, email confirmation, and packaged in a nice cardboard carton (well-sealed). Very satisfied customer of A&BSound.

Prices are amongst the lowest of online stores, and can be verified by using dvdpricesearch.com.

I have been using A & B Sound for quite a while. I have never had a problem. As others have said the prices are some of the lowest around and the shipping is always fast. Once they ran out of a DVD I ordered and they called to notify me of that problem.
I am very happy with them will continue to use A & B Sound.

Good store, their B&Ms in Canada are also pretty good. On-line they even honored a couple of mis-prices for me. Only bad experiences are the long wait for out of stock items and once when I was overcharged for shipping they did not respond to 3 e-mails I sent so I had to dispute it with my CC company. Unusual, as otherwise they are very good.

That's really too bad, jonathan.e... Don't know what to suggest. I personally only had one bad experience, and it was more of an idiot salesperson than anything else. He wouldn't exchange a DVD I'd bought there that was broken inside ("We don't exchange or refund DVD's once opened.") I finally just went to another location where they exchanged it no questions asked.
