I hate to post such a trivial question, but I can't seem to find a number for Amazon.com Customer Service. If anyone could provide one for me, I would greatly appreciate it.

Mods feel free to close (hopefully after an answer has been provided).

Thanks!!

I think they did. How shady is that? I looked all over their site before giving up and doing my return via email. This better work....

A couple of weeks ago, Amazon removed their phone number from their site. To compound this strange move, I also found out that 3 weeks ago, Amazon had their phone number removed from the 800 directory listings. The 800 directory assistance operator told me that this was done at their request. The reason I was even asking was that I was at worked at the time and didn't have their number available like I do at home. Anyway, when I called Amazon and commented on this to the CSR and asked if they were cutting back on the phone CSR deparment and I think I worried the poor guy. Hmm, can't figure why this was done!

FYI, the number can still be found on their web site.

If you go to Gift Certificates, Order Gift Certificate and then Continue to Order Gift Certificates via their Secure Server, at the bottom of the page is contact information, including the 800 number listed above.

Also, I thought someone kept an online retailer phone number thread in the DVDTalk forum.

Also when you put a item in your shopping cart and start your ordering process. Hit the "Proceed to Checkout" button and on the next page where you enter your email address and pswd you will find this info at the bottom of the page.

Redeeming a gift certificate or promotional certificate? We'll ask for your claim code when it's time to pay.
