i have a $50 gift card with them and everything i want is backordered.i called them to tell them to refund the persons cc that bought it for me and there not even answering the phone!!!!!

Other than a bad experience over Final Destination, that took over 3 weeks to resolve (customer service was pretty promt and polite though and I got the normal $5 apology), Express.com still seem to give the fastest service. Last week had 3 big releases; Patriot, U-571 and Pitch Black. To hedge by bets I ordered Patriot from Express and the others from Amazon. Patriot arrived on my doorstep, here in the UK, on the same day as Amazon shipped the others (they will take another 7-10 days to arrive based on experience of DHL). I've taken a chance and ordered MI:2 from them but I'll see how the perfom with that before I order X-Men and the December releases.

I received the last 4 of my orders before the release date and hopr to receive THE BLOB Criterion edition today. I have always had reliable service from EXPRESS.

Well, just got a shipping notice for my From Dusk Till Dawn Collector's Edition (which I ordered from them a good while before the release date)

Just praying it doesn't have a faulty or missing disc since who knows how long it'll take to replace it if I needed to.

My Outlaw Star set 1 was also shipped yesterday... ordered it back in August, came out Oct. 3rd... kinda late but to get it cheaper, I guess I can't complain too much.

I didn't think THE BLOB Criterion was even due to be released for another couple of weeks (11/14). Have you already gotten a shipping notice on this?

I just got a second copy of an order that was originally ordered/filled at the end of June. The envoice of this latest delivery said I wasn't being charged. I'm not sure what the deal is, but somethin' ain't right, if you know what I mean.

I hope you aren't too disappointed The original release date was tomorrow, about 3 weeks ago it got delayed until 14 Nov. Typical Criterion stuff, nothing to do w/ DVDExpress as most places I checked have the new date. If you get it though let me know so I can complain

BTW DVDexpress is still one of my fav. I don't do much w/ them anymore mainly due to price more than anything else. When I run across a good deal I'll still order from them though.

They finally shipped my (last remaining) order, made on the 24th of September (Final Destination and From Dusk Till Dawn:CE) on Saturday (October, 28th), nearly a month after the release dates of the two titles.

Since I can't guarantee this won't happen again (this is my second very late order from them), and rebate and shipping options from them ahve all but vanished, and reports of their financial difficulties abound on sites and various forums, I think Express is now OFF my list of places to order from.

Guess I shouldn't be surprised at all the negative feedback here. I am having the same problem. I initially ordered the Toy Story Ultimate Box, and the Jurassic Park Special Edition. When neither item shipped, I called and found out that Jurassic Park was on back order for at least another week and a half. I cancelled that and asked them just to ship Toy Story, which they did. Unfortuately, they shipped the wrong edition. They said they would ship the correct edition right away. They told me that last Wednesday. I still haven't received it, and when I called this morning, they said that they wouldn't have any new copies until November 3. I think I'll be going back to purchasing all my DVDs at Best Buy again.
