I preorded the damn thing so i wouldn't have to wait. I swear, that is the LAST movie I ever buy from them. If it would have shipped today, it wouldn't pi*s me off this much. the fact that they haven't even shipped it is inexcusable.

I feel your pain. In my experiences with them, Amazon seems to have a very strict policy of not *shipping* a new release DVD until its street release date.

In stark contrast, buy.com seems to have no problem shipping them out a couple/few days early, so you've got a much better shot at getting it on or before the street date.

Like you, I know which store I will do most of my pre-orders from in the future.

Just recieved mine from scamazon today, and I'm glad to say that this is the last dvd I'll ever buy from them. Just had to get rid of the last couple coupons that I had from them.

Just checked Amazon.com AGAIN.

Still not shipped.

Now I gave them all day yesterday and all day today to ship me the damn thing. The fact that my order still hasn't shipped is now BEYOND inexcusable. I just cancelled the damn thing and am going to either ken Cranes or Best Buy, depending on who has it for a dollar less.
I also cancelled my pending Gladiator order from them:P That'll show them not to f**k with the 1 movie i've been waiting for all year!!

This is crap. I ordered this from Amazon in July and it just shipped today, Oct 26, two days after the release. I cant expect it to ship early but I do expect it to ship ON TIME. This is ridiculous that I pre-order something so I wouldnt have to wait for it and they dont ship it for two days.

You people amuse me. Every major title that comes out, people immediately come whining in here about how Amazon hasn't shipped out their copy. Well to begin with, you should know better. All the info you want is right here. People have told you for months that Amazon ships later than all other companies. To boot, Amazon will even have a projected delivery date on their website for you order as soon as you make it. I'm sure you'll get the disc in that time frame. If you'd just read and pay attention you'd realize what you're getting into. I'd hate to get into Customer Service and have to deal with some of you.

My Am Beauty came from Amazon yesterday. Was sent on Monday with a complimentary shipping upgrade to USPS Priority.

Ever since I sent them a harshly (but tactful) worded email regarding their policy regarding shipping pre-orders, they've shipped my last three in the fashion like Am Beauty (and Airplane came too) with the upgrade. So I've gotten those only one day after the street date, which I am perfectly happy with.

Don't know if I would have gotten these anyway for some other reason (like mega-orders from them), but I am a happy camper. You may want to send them an email complaint, but I would suggest you keep it respectful and not full of curse words!

Mine shipped out tuesday from buy, should have it tommorrow or saturday......You guys are right that orders should arrive on time, but my god, if it's a few days late, life does go on you know....IMHO.......

When you pre order way in advance and they still haven't shipped it 2 days (going on 3) after it was released, it would pi*s anyone off. If by the last time I checked they would have gotten off their arse and sent it, it would still have arrived a whole week after it came out.

I wouldn't have minded if it would have SHOWN UP AT MY DOOR by Thursday. What angers me is that it was ALREADY Thursday and it was still sitting in their warehouse.

Whats the point of pre ordering something if it doesn't even guarantee speedy (or at least competent) service?

Thats the LAST time I ever order a DVD from them, advance or otherwise.
