I was wondering if anyone here has used dvdboxoffice.com? It looks like they are a Canadian site, but apparently they have free shipping. I would like to know if anyone has had bad a bad experience with them or can tell me what their service is like?

I`m from the UK and have used them once and still waiting for two more dvds.
They asked for my cc details to be faxed to them i said no and i asked them to cancel my order which they said they would do.
About a week later the dvd came though the post! This made me pissed as i went some where else and bought the same dvd.
Also they are very slow at responing to emails, and they might offer free shipping but they are very slow.
Why not try dvddynmainc very offer free shipping.
I hope this helps.

I beg to differ. I have only good experience with dvdboxoffice. I have used them since March 99 with good results.
Why not order 1 title - minimum risk and see for your self.
my 2 cents,
Darius
P.S. try ordering a in stock or recent arrival dvd

I ordered from them only once and it was the last. Ask any of those who preordered the Wizard of Oz gift set from them if they'd order from them again, and I bet none of them would! They had an inexpensive preorder price with free shipping special, which they kept on insisting that they were going to follow through on their commitment on up until it was released. Then shortly after it was released, they said that they had to either have customers cancel these orders or bill them for a far higher price than earlier (and higher than their competitors for that matter), because they claimed that shipping costs on fulfilling those orders would bankrupt them. They evidently didn't customers asked countless times for confirmation.
Users got stuck with having to pay higher prices at other sites like 800.com after the preorder time period.
Given the subsequent history of reel.com and other sites that went down the tubes (I think dvdnorth.com did go down partially due to the Wizard of Oz preorders too), they might have been correct in their analysis, but a well run company wouldn't have allowed themselves to be put in that position to start with.
I say "stay away!"...

I agree to the above, they should be run alot better ( i hope they read this).
For starters they should have a better customer service at present it takes about a week for them to reply to your emails.
Also very slow shipping times and high prices will make people think twice about ordering again.
Its a shame really as they could be a good firm.
