800.com has redesigned their site and logo...

I don't think it's an improvement, what do you think?

This is my first time visiting this site and so far I like it (mainly because I have a new coupon in my cart ).

Since I had not visited it previously, I can't compare it with the old site.

What I do like about it is the nice selection of electronics! I am in the market for a RePlay TV and may have to see what that rebate is about.

Thanks for pointing out this site!

I preferred the old design. The new design is suckekekekekeke as some here would say.

I liked the colors of the old 800.com better but I did like that 10.00 off coupon I was given and used it. I think with use of blue it looks like Buy.com's site now. I wonder if they paid someone alot of money for advice to use BLUE. Hey, I just noticed DvdTalk uses alot of BLUE? The 800.com order status is down. I really dont like that though.

I don't like the new design either. That bad smiley face has got to go.

Plus I can't check my order status. I tried this morning and got a "we're updating. Try in 1-2 hours." and just got the same thing.

I like the redesign, but the order status thing is getting a little annoying. It's been saying "check back in 1-2 hours" for several days now (although it was working for a short time in the middle).

I like the blue.
Don't like the smiley/outlet.
"We're updating right now..." is damn annoying.
I think the fonts are too small.
It seems to be more functional, though.

I wanna be the highly paid consultant who says: "copy this other site". The search function was broken earlier as well as order status checking. Not a good way to get the redesign of to a flying start...

Site looks like hell (no contrast, hard on the eyes), has a rough feel to it, and can't remember that I'm a good customer (that part isn't all bad, as I got to use the coupon).

It looks cheaper. Almost non-professional.

I don't like it. It looks a lot less professional than the old site. The typefaces and graphics are amateurish.

Order Status function is still screwed up!
I never did like 800.com..this is anohter reason to continue not liking htem. I took advantage of a coupon and ordered Jurassic Park..now I cant check status on it..The lure of the coupon got me ordering from this shithole again..big mistake

Is that the picture of a happy buyer or an electrical outlet?

You all have to expect some issues on a brand new site. Overall I think they have done a great job with their site. More search options, an awesome compare section, and sheer selection. As for not looking professional that is ridiculous. I have bought many items from them and I pre-ordered a DVD from the new site and I thought the checkout process was smooth. I would say give it a chance and let them fine-tune everything. Just remember in a dynamic world you must remain dynamic and I think that is what they are doing. Changing to meet the needs of the consumer to make things simpler. You can’t knock em for that. Anyway that is just how I feel. Give it a chance, and as for me I will continue to buy from 800.com.

My problem with thier site is that if I use Netscape and try to status my order I get a message saying that functionality is down. If I use IE it works.

Coding a site for IE exclusively is a bad idea !

That's bizarre Jimbo... I haven't been able to get it to work in either browser for some 5 days.

Electric outlet logo is silly.

But more importantly, 4 out of 5 titles I checked at DVDpricesearch today were more expensive once I got to the actual product page at 800.com.

VERY frustrating. Not sure if it's 800's fault, or DVDpricesearch's.....

It might have something to do with cookies as well. You might try looking at your cookie file. I think I recall different problems with the same browser but on different workstations.

It's working now for me in both browsers. Over the weekend I even tried it on a computer which (to my knowledge) had not visited 800.com in many months, and neither browser could get to it from there either. Anyway, I'm glad it's back...

Jobronie... For the Monty Python set, we are getting the wrong data from 800.com. The other site is probably getting the same datafeed. For the Sopranos, this pre-order is so far in advance (12/12 I think?) that our distributor doesn't even know about it yet. It will appear on our site as soon as we get data from the distributor on it (and I will contact them about it immediately, since this will be a hot item!) Thanks for checking us out...

Warning!!! If you used the 10.00 off coupon that was in your own personal coupon book on their web site on Saturday. It looks they have taken it back.

I just got my shipping notice and it says my Visa card was charged 58.70 and no mention of a Coupon. My conformation Email was for 48.70 and showed the 10.00 off coupon.

Isnt this against the law? I can see them cancelling the order or asking me first for the extra 10.00 like Amazon did.

I wonder what my order history says at 800.com? I actually got once on Monday for only the 2nd time in over a week and it looked right as I remember.
