I was wondering about somethat that just
came up today. I received a package from
amazon's toy dept and the box was pretty
beat up. Also, they are putting those white
stickers that toysrus.com used to put on
things. Anyway, I asked for a replacement
because this one was all beat up. The woman
on the phone didn't tell me to keep this one
anyway (as I expected), but said she would
send a return label for me, along with the
replacement. If the replacement is damaged
as well, i can return it for a refund. But
from all I could understand, I dont get
anything back when the first one is returned.
Do they somehow penalize me and charge me
twice if I was to keep it? How does this
work? Theoreticly, couldn't I just take it
back to toysrus b&m now that they are
represented online by amazon.com/toys? Is
amazon going to even care? This is now a
closed order in their eyes right? The
replacement is a second order with a
different order number and everything. I have
had fine treatment from amazon so I don't
want to start up a "scamazon.com" thread,
nor do I want to get bashed for saying I
am trying to steal from them. I am just
wondering how exactly they can expect someone
to send a damaged item back when a the
replacement (showing up as a new order for
no charge) is being mailed out.
