Ordered ED 2 tin on 8/13 and according to my CC summary it was paid on 8/13.

Order shipped on 8/29. I got the item so all turned out okay.

All is okay as long as they dont try to charge for it again. I will have to watch that.

We authorize your credit card when you purchase. We actually charge your credit card when we ship the product.

If that is not what happened in your case, please get back to us. It is not our intent to actually charge your card until the items leave our warehouse.

I had a similar thing happen last year when I bought my DVD player from them. I ordered DVDs as well, and the player and DVDs shipped at different times. The hold amount placed on my checkcard and the actual two charges added up to be the same, but the hold was never cleared in the transaction. As a result, I went over my limit (into the red).

I had to go to my bank to clear up the two penalty charges and explain things away, and also informed 800.com what happened. I simply got an explanation that that was their policy, and and an apology.

The long and short of it is that everything came out okay in the end, but it was a MAJOR headache.

Oh well, live and learn ...

What is up with "The Crush" DVD? The release date was 8/1/00 but I am still awaiting my copy... my order status reads "awaiting inventory". Your web page also states that the product ships between 2-3 days. Thanks for any help/info you can give.

Which of these need to be different to have a 2nd 800 account?

I ordered 5 pre-orders for 9/26 along with 2 in-stock discs and took the option of having all discs sent when they're available. Well, 800.com is sending the 2 in-stock discs now, and the e-mail lists no shipping charge, plus they already took the $20 off $100 coupon credit too! Great service similiar to what buy.com does. Does this happen often?

Now if they can only get my 5 pre-orders to me on time they will have beat buy.com who is still holding on to my BRAVEHEART and EVIL DEAD 2. Since buy.com gets more dvd orders than 800.com your chance of getting a disc from 800.com is better if the studio "short ships" a disc. If only they had more coupons...

A warning to everyone that used the Pizza Hut coupons. My Office Space disc was just shipped and I was charged full price! Naturally a phone call will be placed tomorrow.

Be careful and check your statements. Hopefully this won't turn into another CDUniverse coupon fraud scheme.

I can't believe I ate the whole thing

Anyone know what's up with the Little Rascals Vol 1&2 DVD release? I ordered it with a Pizza Hut coupon before release date (8/15), but it still says "awaiting inventory." I've had great service from 800.com in the past, but this is a little weird.

Hope the same doesn't happen with my Great Pumpkin order (9/12 release) or Jurassic Park DTS (10/10 release)--I especially don't want to have to wait for the latter!
