I've been reading that a lot of people are having trouble with Best Buy sending their movies, especially pre-orders. I have not received mine, nor has it shipped. And they won't let me change it to pick it up at the store.

No problems at all on my orders to date w/ buy.com.
However, I just placed my first pre-orders today so I have to wait until mid-September to comment on their success (or lack of) in this arena.

It does seem to take a while. I ordered Chasing Amy CC and it took about 3 weeks to get to me from the time I ordered it on-line until it finally got delivered. And this was on an in-stock item.

I bought Boiler Room from bestbuy.com with that $20 coupon & got it in a reasonable time (maybe 10 days). If that sounds slow, I don't care since it only cost about $1. I'm not sure if it was a preorder, since I didn't know the release date, but if I remember it was listed as in-stock.

I also ordered Chasing Amy CC and it took quite a while (2+ weeks?) to arrive. They didn't reflect my GC on the website, either, but they did bill me correctly.

My order of Shawshank Redemption from bestbuy.com came in about a week. GC wasn't reflected in the order history but calling them confirmed that it was deducted from the price. For some reason, when I added the movie to my cart, there was an additional $2 off the listed price, so I paid $1.99 for it.

I ordered Titus which was released this week. It hasn't even been sent yet. I called them on Tuesday and they said it should be sent shortly. They say they charge your credit card when they ship the item. My c.c. hasn't been charged yet, so hopefully that is incorrect info. We'll see.
