The complaining about Amazon thread

Re: The complaining about Amazon thread
I couldn't get into my orders to cancel one I changed my mind on yet they managed to ship it anyway in spite of everything else being down. Guess I'll be doing a return...

Got an email that it’s not going to make it here until tomorrow.
Your package is on the way but running late. We’re sorry for the delay.

Have anyone's packages for yesterday been updated? Mine still say Arriving Today, but the actual status hasn't changed. Not out for delivery. Still stuck at shipped.

I could've had a package delivered yesterday but opted for delivery on Wednesday for reasons...sorta glad I did that now.

I didn't have any packages in the shipping pipeline but new order ship times are back to normal.

I guess the person who was supposed to carry the package that I was supposed to have delivered today to the delivery truck was one of the 30,000 that got laid off. Shows that it arrived at the carrier facility at 4am with no movement.

Pretty shitty news for Amazon employees, especially just before the Holidays.

Re: The complaining about Amazon thread
Has anyone used Amazon’s service where they come to your house and set up an item for an extra charge? I’m having it done with an elliptical machine I bought and was curious to know how it is, how they contact you, the whole experience, etc. Thanks in advance.

Deliveries have been horrible this week. Doesn't bode well for the upcoming season. At least I got compensated well.

After all these deliveries over the years I finally got one with a slight tear on the slipcover. Doesn't affect anything plus it was one of the Black Friday 4ks for $12. I'm not that anal about slips enough to get a replacement as long as the disc works.

This holiday season amazon, USPS, UPS and FED EX all seem to be trying to out-incompetent the competition.

I bought a 12-pack of Altoids. As I do every month or two.
It takes a week or two to ship. They ship 1 can instead of 12. It was from Amazon, not a 3rd party seller.
Amazon won't help. Can't return food items.
Then I leave a negative product review, and they removed it. There are a lot of other 1-star reviews for the same problem.
The $2T company ripped me off for $37. Pretty on-the-nose class allegory.
...
I think I put this in here before. But two years ago, one of their drivers hit my car while it was parked out front of my house, and the drove away. I had to eat all the costs. I didn't have a camera pointing at it. And it was a neighbor from 200 feet away who says they saw them drive away. Again, c'mon. Cost me a $1000 deductible, plus my insurance probably went up.

That’s the point of the useless AI thing… keep you from getting actual help until you give up.

Re: The complaining about Amazon thread
I need to ween myself off of Amazon and tech-related deliveries in general. I know I live in a city. But my pin drop and instructions are exact. I don't know why it's okay for delivery people to throw a package at a door and walk away. I don't appreciate scavenger hunts with awkwardly walk up to my neighbors doors and peek on their porches. I need to get back into the habit of going to the store, and buying the item.
As soon as I saw it was delivered, but my dog wasn't out there barking at the door, I knew they probably delivered somewhere else. If it was a porch pirate (which I did have last December, tis the season), very unlikely my dog would have let two people come up without a peep.
I had to struggle to get their stupid AI chatbot to recognize that my entire order was missing, and not just one item. And then it's just like "check back tomorrow". Do they think the box is going to materialize outside my door? Or are they hoping that a percentage of their customers get frustrated and don't follow up and they get to avoid the $95 liability?
I also paid an extra $5 for 3-hour delivery. I didn't pay for fast delivery because I didn't need it. Zero chance of getting that refunded. Again, 2 trillion dollar company and I'm the one stuck holding the bill.
And I get that this is a working class privilege problem. Some people have real problems. I guess it's just sad to see a deuteriation of something that worked perfectly fine.

I always get a photo of my package on my porch. I assumed that was SOP.

I have extracted over $150 in compensation in the last month from Amazon for delayed packages and having to contact support multiple times for resolution.

Re: The complaining about Amazon thread
Okay they refunded me via chatbot. They made me wait till the next day to request a refund. I was also annoyed by how hard it was to get them to look at the order, not a specific item from the order. And just hiding it overall. They do this because they want people to sorta forget about it or not try. With their volume, they probably make tens of millions daily from lost orders that people give up on.
Yea the driver didn't leave a picture. If they did, I could have probably tracked down the neighbor.
I'm not sure why Amazon would allow a driver to deliver without pics.
