ImportCDs.com: Looking For Some Opinions/Info

I see them with some really good prices on DVD's from time to time in the Amazon Marketplace. Was wondering how everyones experiences have been with them on DVD purchases and how their reputation is in general here in the forum?

Any other Amazon Marketplace sellers that I should maybe consider instead,
or consider along with them as places to keep on my radar for good prices on
new DVD's that have good reputations amongst the posters here?

Thanks in advance for any and all info. Very much appreciated.

Can't speak for dvds but I buy cds from them constantly. Thet are my #1 preferred seller on Amazon marketplace. I buy from them 2-3 times per month. Dozens of orders with no problem. They ship fast, just as fast as buying direct from Amazon. I've placed mixed orders with items from Amazon and them and they arrive same day. Mostly I buy imported cds from European reissue labels.
Other sellers that are just as good

Thank you for the info. Much appreciated. Blowitoutofhere was another
that had caught my attention. Glad to see you list them in your as good as
list. The more DVD options the better.

I agree with rw2516 on all the sellers he mentioned.

I order from ImportCDs occasionally and have no complaints except slow shipping.

Thanks for all the great response. Much appreciated.

Anyone ever use the market place seller StandingOvation?

And if so how do they compare to the four listed above so far in this thread?

They (ImportCDs) is actually also known as "Second Spin" - their B&M retail arm is, anyway. They do have good prices and ship out quickly - their distribution center is just a couple miles from my house, so when I order from them I get my order right away.

Second Spin is actually part of Fye also known as Trans world entertainment. They and Wherehouse sell on amazon. Also have stand alone stores secondspin.com and wherehouse.com and Fye.com. Recently they have had deepdiscount.com fulfill their orders. And recently ImportCDs.com bought out deepdiscount. Hence you are seeing the deepdiscount.com address on their orders.

I just noticed you said the B & M stores are part of importcds.com. I still don't think this is true. On the secondspin.com website it says some of the stuff they sell online comes from their stores in CA.

Importcds.com is not a Trans world company. They are owned by Super D who are the new owners/parent company to Deep Discount.

Re: ImportCDs.com: Looking For Some Opinions/Info

Does anyone have the phone number to call them directly?

I placed an order with them on December 21st, which still hasn't shipped. I emailed them once and got a "we're sorry, don't know why it wasn't mailed out yet" sympathy email about a week ago. I emailed them again two days ago again asking why it wasn't shipped, got no response. I've bought items from them on amazon before with no issue. I have no idea why a retail company should take almost 3 weeks now to mail out an order.

Re: ImportCDs.com: Looking For Some Opinions/Info

This company is a total scam. Do not do business with them. If something goes wrong with your order you can kiss your money goodbye as these effffing scammers will not give you a refund. Heck you cannot even call them or send them an email. You will only get an automated reply when you fill out their form. Also, amazon should not allow them to sell imho. I will not be buying from amazon again either as they will not help me even tho i ordered from importcd through them.

Have ordered both music and movies from them through amazon marketplace many times. In fact, I am waiting on a BD from them right now. I have never had a problem with them.

Re: ImportCDs.com: Looking For Some Opinions/Info

I've had a few positive orders, from their actual web store, not Amazon. I like using Google Checkout, and Importcds.com is the only store so far where I've been able to buy pre-orders or backorders through Google Checkout without being charged immediately.

Also, I'm sure you're aware there's no combined shipping discount on Amazon Marketplace. $3 per item period. At importcds.com, it's $3 for the 1st item & $1.50 for each additional.
