The Last Video Store...
Sad to say but the final standalone video store in my city (pop. 190,000) is closing its doors for good.
The last Rogers Video outlet in Richmond, BC (south of Vancouver, Canada) is now blowing out all of its inventory. I had to take advantage of the deals, buy one get three free with prices starting at $9.99 for Blu-ray.
The only places that rent videos now are the Safeway kiosks, the public library and the odd corner store here and there.
The local mall just shut down the HMV record store as well.

Truly sad to hear.
Obligatory: but then again, you are Canadian. They probably had a hard time converting DVDs to metric.

"The Last Video Store" could be a great title for a movie.
