I've had this happen a couple of times in the past few months; mostly with pre-orders.

I still received separate shipping notice e-mails, but no acknowledgment of a combo shipment. I don't know if makes a difference but my Prime orders still ship via UPS.

There was no packing slip in the package either (but that has been hit or miss all year).

I'm curious if this happens again next week as I have three different discs under three different orders ready for Tuesday.

I actually prefer it as it means it's less likely Amazon will ship in a padded mailer versus a box. UPS + Padded Mailers = Damaged Product.

I guess I don't particularly mind it, but if it gets to a point where they are intentionally delaying shipping certain items so that they can combine orders, I will not be pleased.

Re: Amazon Prime?

I've been debating getting a membership to Prime for a while now. Think I'm finally going to do it. For $79 a year it seems like its pretty worth it especially since I tend to buy a lot of items from Amazon since the best store selection for Blu-ray's/DVDs in town are Wal-Mart and Target. Plus its a nice perk getting the items faster obviously as well. It sucks though I missed the free student Prime membership for a year by only a couple months as I just graduated. Ah well.

That said, I've never had any problems with any Prime shipment (and I've had a lot) other than the rare one that gets held up for some reason, so it's totally worth it for me.
Same, haven't had any issues with ONTRAC here too.

Re: Amazon Prime?

Prime is the best. I buy all kinds of stuff on Amazon.

I noticed that there are two gigantor hubs here in Phoenix. So my stuff usually comes in next-day, even if it's just two-day shipping.
