I'm looking to order a 50" Plasma from them, but I wanna see what people's opinions are and if anyone has every ordered anything that big from them.

I ordered some computer memory from them and was pleased with the overall experience (price, speed of shipping, etc.). I know that's not a big item, but thought I'd chime in. Should you decide to order from them, don't forget about getting some money back through bing.com - that would really add up with the large ticket item.

Have only ordered computer stuff from them but they've always been very reliable. I ordered a 24" widescreen monitor from them a few years back which arrived fine.

If there is a problem with the display I think they'll basically have you return it and credit you - they don't to direct exchanges for some reason.

They're generally known as being pretty crappy packers for things such as hard drives. Don't know whether that would have any effect on a big screen.

Chances are they'll send the TV in the original box. Doesn't pretty much everyone do that?

If it can make it thousands and thousands of miles starting in a warehouse in Japan, across roads to trains to boats across the Pacific, back to trains and roads to a warehouse in California, all the while rocking on the boat, shifting in the trucks, being moved from truck to train by some union guy who hates his job, etc, I doubt any company is then gonna say, "Gee, maybe we better pack the box in another box for the last 200 miles."

Newegg has never left me unhappy. If something shows up damaged, I imagine they will take care of it for you.

I ordered my receiver from them. The first came defective. I returned it, they paid the shipping. They shipped the second and I had no problems. When they lowered the price during the thirty days after I received my second unit, I called them and they credited my account. If I had known they had my tv there I would have bought it from them.

Hmm. I just ordered 2 over the past month and both were packaged too well. Took me a while to get them out of the bubble wrap and foam peanuts.

I ordered a hard drive from them last November for a Christmas present and it came with no peanuts or foam. The plastic container holding the hard drive was damaged too, not sure if they shipped it like that or the container was damaged by sliding back and forth in the over sized cardboard box they sent it in. I ended up returning it to Newegg with no problem

I've read that their packing depends on what facility does the shipping. Mine ships from Southern California and always comes minimally protected, but I haven't had any damage. Just luck.

The largest thing I've ever ordered from Newegg was a computer case.

I like and trust Newegg, but sometimes their shipping prices can be pretty high. I don't really understand why it costs $6-7 to ship a $10 IDE cable.

I've order lots of stuff from them and they also have great customer service.

I have ordered many things without problems.

I was even able to return something that was my mistake and they took it back no questions asked.

Can't speak for large items, but I too have built several computers from New egg. Great service, fast shipping, never had a problem with shipping damage.

Just small pc stuff myself and no issues but....I've been looking at a new hard drive and seveal reviews from a few months back told of terrible packing involving the hard drives. I t may have been fixed or just in a small time frame. If anything check all the feeback especially with larger items and take note of any shipping comments. Even with small LCDs tp full computers.

I ordered a HD camcorder from them and it arrived in very good condition.
