I just might have to forward this thread to Target's CEO.

This is exactly what I say to people who download their music illegally. I don't mean to start a tangent, but how many are people piling on the OP for stealing that do the same in other areas of their life I wonder? People can legitimize any action to themselves if they really want to.

Talk about missing the point.

"Let he who is without sin cast the first stone" does not mean that only people who are perfectly pure can pass judgment on others. It just means that the punishment should fit the crime. The crime was committed. If the judge has also committed a crime, that doesn't excuse the first.

I wish I had some photoshop skills. That Juicy Juice box is just aching for a Daddy Cool treatment. In my mind's eye, he's in the background, nice and blurry, doing his thing.

Hey guys

Drove by Home Town Buffet today. Is it cool if I bring my plate in and load up? I don't want to pay or anything like that.

What I recommend is this. Go in when it is really busy. Grab a plate of food and wait until a table leaves to go get seconds. Sit in their booth and eat fast. When you see them start to head back, get up and wander the food area again. Repeat until full. If you start to get looks, strike up conversations with random people, that way, it will look like you belong.

Your "Firefly" cellphone does not have a camera option. Good try though.

And at the 8 pages remark. Newbies still have yet to figure out you can have more then 20 posts per thread.

Sure. I do that yet attack the OP for their theft.

I try to avoid using smilies, but will have to start using them here I guess. Darn !

Wait, are you serious or not? I can't tell without an emoticon! Critical, contextual reading is overrated.

I was wondering about this comment myself.

I confirmed that the Home Town Buffet near me *DID NOT* have a sign up saying you couldn't bring a plate from home.

YMMV, of course.

Love it when someone thinks that a thread they started is "their thread" and it's all about them.

Noticed today that my local Shell gas station does not have a sign saying "no refills". Will try for a refill on my tank next week and will report results.

Don't worry, this will be archived and anytime you post we will likely bring this up. Actually, I just dissed Rypo who posted about getting to "first base" 6 years ago. His response "people still remember that?" Yes, yes we do.

I don't think this thread annoys anyone. I'm pretty sure that we all think it is quite entertaining.

The thread doesn't annoy us, it's hilarious. (non-premium) Thread of the year so far.

Re: Targets No Longer Allowing Free Refills on Icee YMMV

dont take it personally lovgun. this thread is no longer about you or gizmo or anyone else. it has taken on its own life and will live forever in dvdtalk history, transcending time and space. it will be reverently remembered as "that icee thread" and it will be smiled upon. some of us may even reference getting a refill of ________ and others will lol.

hopefully, some of us will still be around in years to come, and we will all have forgotten what the original point was. i am just glad i am here now to partake of its existence

This is very flawed logic. Taking the plate with you when you leave is *CLEARLY* stealing, while returning every week to eat the food isn't.

YMMV with the local police.

Wait a minute...your 14.99 includes a lifetime refill of artery clogging buffet food? NO WAY.

I get free refills of my slush cup daily.
Spoiler:
Difference being that we actually bought a home machine and pay for the ingredients.
