Hear ye, hear ye, today is the final day!
|
I had made a mental note about today being the final opportunity to return things without a receipt, but I don't think I have the time (or energy) to make it in before closing tonight.
|
Thanks for the reminders.
I got rid of a few unopened dupes. I need to get serious about putting my collection into DVDspot, as I end up buying dupes at least once a week it seems. |
The fat lady has sung!:rip:

Phew. Never have to walk into an overpriced Borders ever again. After picking and choosing who got their 70/80% off order's I am officially done with Borders.

I agree that they are insanely overpriced. I only buy there when I have a 40% off coupon, and even then you have to be choosy. |

You can not blame them for not honoring glitches. Sometimes you get lucky, sometimes you don't.

Then again, I only went their to return sealed DVDs so...no loss for them I suppose :) Now I go in their to browse what future books to buy for my future birthday gift (shhh...girlfriend bought it for me), Kindle. |

Thanks Sweet Baby James - you killed Borders! (Or will very soon) Man...gonna miss reading magazines for free. In good times, it's a bit easier for an ailing business to mask its problem areas. But in economic crises, the weak are finally winnowed out. Based on several vital metrics, I've accumulated a list of companies unlikely to make it through this holiday season. There's more red to Circuit City than the color of its storefront. The retailer was suffering even when the economy was chugging along, as consumers looked elsewhere for deals on electronics. And Borders may be working on paying down its debt, but with a quick ratio of just 0.1, this is one heck of a risky investment. A quick ratio beneath 1.0 can serve as a major warning flag, particularly if a company's sales and profit margins are suffering and its inventories may have to go on clearance sale. |

Starting this summer Borders will be changing their returns policy so that those without a receipt will not be accepted at the discounted rate of 30% off retail - previously these returns were accepted for 100% of retail is it was an item currently stocked by that specific store.
I have some gifts without receipts that I want to bring back to Borders for store credit. You are saying that they will not take it at 30% off...meaning it is back to 100% of retail? |

Re: Borders To Revise Return Policy - Summer 2008?
Anyone return a Christmas gift at Borders without a receipt this year/season?
