Deepdiscount VS Dvdplanet
I am curious why is one better than the other? What do you think the pros and cons of each site are? It would be very intresting to hear

they're owned by the same company, so essentially they're the same, but there are some differences.
1) DD ships everything free, planet I think it's $25
2) you can earn rewards at planet, but not at DD
3) planet discounts the ever so popular criterions at 35%
4) planet usually has monthly coupons, DD just has the annual 20% off sale (planet on occasion will run also, usually at the same time), but on occasion DD has special coupons for specific items, both stores usually have the same type of sales (b1g1 free, and other similar type sales, though they usually happen on DD before planet)
5) both are hit-and-miss with regards to getting any kind of help via email (telephone is always the best)
6) planet sells used dvds and lets you see your dvds back to them, DD does not
7) DD sells stuff that planet does not (books, music, games, etc)
I'm sure there's some other stuff but that's all I can think of..
basically you're getting around the same thing. if you're buying a single item, hope it's cheaper at DD, if you're buying stuff that costs over $25, see which place is cheapest.

Also add to the list...
DD can't seem to get any Bandai titles I preorder from them out on time. It can be a few weeks to more than a month sometimes after release. Yet, the Bandai titles I order from Planet get shipped on time. Funny considering the same warehouse.

The Deepdiscount 20% off sale occurs twice a year (not once) and the Fall sale should be coming up quite soon; less than a month. The two "sister" sites have both offered the same discount but as mentioned DVDP starts later and has only done it the last 2 times that DD had the sale. The past does not necessarily hold true for the future in this case- no guarantee that DVDP will continue to match the 20% off.

Whenever I order from dvdplanet it takes FOREVER to get the package. DDD used to be that bad, but they have gotten much better over the last few months. Evidently its the same warehouse? but I tell ya, I don't think I'll ever ordered from dvdplanet again... way too long of a wait.

Both have retail stores (Planet in CA, DD in IL.) Pricing is probably very different, and online promos are probably not included in store. You can't "buy" online and pick up in store.
DVD Planet takes Google Checkout, DD doesn't.
