So I saw your post and started to worry, because they received my package last Wed. just before the sale went live and I hadn't received notice of any credit. Last Wed. was actually the day AFTER my 30 day quote expired and I thought for sure they were either going to reject my box or give me the new lower prices.

Anyways, I checked my account on the DVDPlanet site, and sure enough, I got full credit for everything I sent. Finally, I can go sale crazy!

I received my credit yesterday, Friday, and they got my package on Saturday. About a 5 day turnaround assuming they don't do anything on Sunday. I'm happy, I just with their Blu Ray prices were close to DD's.

Just received an email informing me of credit given for a large shipment of used discs I sent out about three weeks ago. The bad news is that the amount of credit I received was considerably less than what it was supposed to be because for several (but not all) of the individual discs I sent them, DVDPlanet is apparently applying the new LOWER trade-in prices rather than the prices I was originally quoted!

I have a record of my original quote, of course, so I'm assuming I'll be able to straighten this out on Monday, but this is a huge mess at the moment. I've sent DVDPlanet dozens of used disc shipments over the years and have never seen anything like this.

That's messed up. It says on the form that they honor their TIVs within 30 days. So you shouldn't have a problem--at least I hope--in getting that adjusted.

I am sending my first ever shipment in to them tomorrow.

Do you guys ever pay for insurance or do you just ship it priority/media mail with delivery confirmation?

I always ship mine UPS which comes with a tracking number and insurance. Usually costs me about $10 to ship a big box. I always ship directly to their office and not their PO box.

I called them last night and they said that they didn't have any record of receiving my shipment, but that they were way behind. Checked my account today and the credit was there.

Looks the same to me.... I don't see them going back up at all... bummer, that's about 30-40% less credit..at least for the titles I'm looking at. Sending my next box in January.

WTF is up with them!?! I return my DVD order of Tropic Thunder which I purchased during the 20% off sale, because I made a made a mistake during the sale and meant to order the BD version. They say to give an explanation on your return why you're returning it, so I do. And guess what happens? They mail me out the BD version and charge me full price- $39.95! Bastards!

So now it's going to cost me shipping to ship the BD back again. I never asked them to send me anything, I just said why I was returning it. So more money wasted in returns. Asshats.

You can technically file a complaint with your credit card company since you didn't ordered the Blu-ray and they send it without your authorization. Or email DVDPlanet and explain the situation. They should give you at least 20% off the sales price of the BD.

Yeah, but I don't even want it with the 20% off, considering they're overpriced on that particular item. It can be had for $20 on BD at Costco and that's where I intended on picking it up. Technically they should give it to me for free because I never asked for anything, as per US Postal Law, but as we know that's never going to happen.

I would call my guess is the returns person didn't understand and read your reason as if you wanted it to exchange it for the BD version. Call CS and tell them you had returned it and that returns department made a mistake and you didn't want this and to send you a label to return it. good luck

Yah. They told me to just cross out my name and to write REFUSED DELIVERY on the package and drop it at my post office. I don't think the USPS lets you do that, but what the hell, they know better than I do I guess.
