So, maybe this is unrelated to the site being down yesterday, but maybe it is: yesterday, Netflix received my returned "Pirates of the Caribbean 2," and today, the site says they shipped my next movie -- "A Beautiful Mind," which wasn't even in my queue!
What the heck?! My next rental should've been "Talladegah Nights," which has now disappeared from my queue altogether, and instead I'm receiving a movie I didn't ask for. Of course, there's no option on their site for complaining that they sent a movie you didn't ask for. (Receiving the correct disc for a movie you didn't ask for isn't the same as them claiming to have sent you one movie but instead sending you another.) Thoughts? Mr. Flix |
That's strange, Mr. Flix. Maybe you can add "Talledega Nights" back to your queue, call them and explain, and have them send it out immediately (instead of waiting for "A Beautiful Mind" and having to return it first).

One of the reasons I know I'm right is because I already tried the above option -- and the website tells me that, since the movie just shipped today, I can't already be reporting that I received the wrong movie.
Mr. Flix Well, aside from actually calling in (which would probably require having to endure very long hold times due to yesterday's outage) and explaining the situation as rkndkn suggeted, you could always report the disc as arriving "damaged, scratched, or unplayable" and that you don't want the same title sent again. At least that way you'd have a replacement disc from the top of your queue sent immediately without having to wait for them to receive the other. I'm not saying it's right, but if they're not going to provide an option for having sent the wrong movie I don't see an alternative other than calling or just waiting it out. |
