E-Rewards / Borders Question

Hi there. I recently signed up for the e-rewards program and have in a short time accumulated a little over $14 on my e-rewards account. I noticed that on November 15th you can transfer $15 worth of credit from your e-rewards to your Borders rewards card. I was wondering if it was only possible to do it this particualr day or are they going to allow you to transfer from this date onwards. Also i was wondering how you go about transferring the amount? I presume you need to have a minimum of $15 (which is a pisser for me as i am just under and there are no other surveys or whatever that i can apply for to get my money up over the mark). Any advice and help would be appreciated. Cheers.

They haven't activated the link for that reward yet. Don't know why. I emailed them about it.

True, they don't give a time.. I've never done these offers before though, so when they say it's available today, does that mean "only today", or beginning today? Only reason I ask is this is probably the only way I'll get my Borders account over the $10 mark so this would be a good help to me that I don't want to miss.

I'm sure it's not a one-day offer. They just haven't activated the link yet. I e-mailed them also, but they obviously dropped the ball on this one. Once it is set up, I have about $60 in credit to redeem, although I think I may only be able to redeem one $15 reward with Borders, but I'll see.

Edit: Link is now up at e-rewards.

Unfortunately, per the link:

"Redemption of this reward is limited. You may claim one Borders reward once per calendar year."

Edit #2: Although the link now works, they set it up wrong so you can't finish the process. It thinks it's Hilton Honors or Worldperks. Stupid e-rewards.

but nothing to click on

5. How do I redeem my e-Rewards currency?
To view the reward chart and individual reward centers, simply click on the " Rewards" tab at the top of your Member account page. You'll need to log in to review the terms and conditions of each reward and make a redemption. Once you select a reward to redeem you'll be asked to re-enter your e-Rewards password and confirm your choice.

IMPORTANT: Prior to making your selection, please review all terms and conditions which may be associated with a particular reward. Your account balance will be verified then debited, and your reward will be on its way. While several reward coupons and certificates are fulfilled electronically, others will be fulfilled through the postal service. If so, please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery.

Does that mean that, if I can get to $15 again by January 31st, I can claim the reward again? If not, that sucks. I was working towards another $15 (I'm at 10.something now) in hopes of claiming it twice. There aren't really any other worthwhile awards on this site.

So being that this is now a new year, I just went to e-rewards to redeem for another $15 in borders holiday points, and it shows "out of stock". So basically the only decent reward from e-rewards is out of stock somehow. Bizarre. This is what it shows:

This happened because you already redeemed $15 to the Borders rewards program. You can only do that once.

No, it says you can only do it once per calendar year. So lots of us were waiting until January 1st to do it again, since it is now a new calendar year. The people at E-Rewards must have realized this and marked the offer out-of-stock. Sucks. I've got $30 of credit with them, and there's really NOTHING worth getting. THe only magazine subscription I'm interested in, I can can get for free elsewhere (EGM). All the coupons require a huge minimum purchase beyond the discount.

Correct. Guess I may just redeem for another set of blockbuster coupons. Those always come in handy.

I noticed it was out of stock last night but I checked again today and it's back in stock. I was able to redeem $15 this morning. I also redeemed for $15 back in November.

Thanks for the heads-up. Just checked again and it is working now. Of course, I failed to anticipate that these would now be 2007 rewards dollars, meaning we can't use them until next holiday season, but so be it I guess. I had planned on using the dollars now within the current holiday rewards season.

A lot of the questions regarding the Borders Rewards program are answered in their FAQ, posted here.

Specifically in regards to the rewards earning period:

The accrual period for Holiday Savings Rewards is January 1 through December 31.
