EB Games scammed me!!!

I brought 60+ DVDs in t sell to them. I ended up with $116.25. I had my 8 month old daughter with me so, I could not focus on what exactly the clerk was doing.

When I got home, I reviewed the receipt and noticed the most popular titles were missing:

Family Guy Volumes 1 and 2 (Seasons 1-3)
Chappelle seasons 1 and 2
Criterion Editions of Kurosawa films

This guy just pulled them to the side and did not check them in and thought he would get away with it. Im going back to the store to confront him on Monday.

Has anyone had this happen to them before?

Aren't they opened on Sunday?

So this guy who pulled them away, he wasn't a clerk? Wow, that really sucks! How are you going to prove that you came in with those if they aren't listed on your receipt?

Oh K ... "Family Guy Seasons 1 @ 2"

$2 per dvd, is it me or is that highway robbery? I mean I had a yard sale 4th of July weekend and I was getting $4 per dvd and I sold them all! You have to remember EB is the same store that will give you 50 CENTS for many used video games, that is a complete joke. Personally EB sucks IMO.

EB Games is the last place to go to sell DVDs, anyway, so you probably missed out on about $15 for the ones that he didn't catch.

Was there anything wrong with the DVD packaging...a split corner? bent booklet? sticker marks? If you can remember what was wrong, and have the worker compare it to the inventory they have out there, you might have a shot...otherwise, its a he said, he said....

Less than $2 a dvd is terrible. Especially since they will sell them for at least 4 times that amount if not much more. The used prices I see in the store are often higher than a brand new copy at Best Buy/Walmart.

All the box sets I've ever seen at EB were the same price or more than their new counterparts. One EB games was selling the slim pack x-files sets for $50 each

They were in perfect condition. The store has security cameras Im sure, they can be reviewed to show what I handed him. I specifically remember him seperating out the family guys dvds. I figured he was just gonna buy them right after he processed them. If the security camera is poitioned to show the cash register, I will be fine. I spoke to the manager of another store. He said the Family guy DVDs alone were worth $18.

Good luck getting access to those. They video may have already been overwritten depending on what they save it to.

Did you ask him why he was seperating them?

Why not just call the manager of the store you sold them to? Any estimate on those Criterions?

It was the district manager's idea. I assume he has a clue about their tape rotation but, you never know.

He said some of the DVDs were not recognized by the system and he would use a "generic sku" for them.

The store I sold them to is not open on Sunday. I called another store in the same district today, and spoke to their manager. Thats how I got in touch with the district manager.

I only got the price on the Family Guys. I am sure I will get the rest of the prices tomorrow when I meet the district manager at the store at 10 am.

Yeah, that's mature.

I imagine that you would be the type to brag about getting a movie for free or excessive discount. When it happens to you, though, you want to damage his car.

Pay attention and check your receipt next time.

I imagine your the cowardly type that just lets people walk on them and get away with it.

When your balls drop, you will understand.

I had a crying 8 month old with me who distracted me so I did not check my receipt until I got home.

Slip on a puddle of aids and die. kthxbye.

Especially since you could have put your list on the DVD exchange forum and done quite well. I might have given you $30 for your Kurosawa criterions, I am looking for those right now...

The man only has 16 posts, and you can't say he doesn't make sure each one isn't worth it.
