im not trying to thread crap here, but if your willing to get worked over for less than $2 a movie, do you really care that much about a few box sets? Its obvious that your time is more important than your money (otherwise you would have invested the time to find a more profitable outlet for your movies) so why would you invest the time to go fight for whatever pittance EB games would have paid you for those box sets?
By all means, you have a right to try and get your cash, but more than likely your not going to get any resolution on something like this without spending a whole lotta time and grief. Take it as lesson learned and next time ask your friends here at DVDtalk about ways to sell those things.

Gosh, pawn shops will give you more money for your DVDs than what EB gave you. (and I know because I've taken a few crappy titles to a local pawn shop & gotten more or an even trade for another DVD - might have gotten the trade, though, cuz my hubby's a frequent customer there for DVDs.)

I never trade in movies at stores, I'd rather use E-bay so I can do the scamming...(a little sarcasm at the end there).
What EB did we would call it scamming, but they would call it doing business.

What if he just forgot to scan them? He did show interest in them accoridng to you, so maybe he just forgot to scan them after he seperated them? But of course EB = Evil so he must have tried to steal them from you.
And the 'generic sku' thing is real. Some DVDs are not in the system. You want to trade them in, so they give you a basic trade-in price for them. These are the DVDs that sell for $5.99 and are often in the 3 for $10 bin.

Plus, the OP has shown he's pretty much an idiot after that AIDS comment.

I know I'd be checking my receipt if I was getting a trade-in at $2 a DVD. That is WAY too low regardless of whether that is their normal rate. I went to one of those game places with a couple of free games and 1 I had bought. They ended up giving me $15.xx due to a special where you get an extra $10 for bringing in 3 games.
So in the end I spent $1.95 and ended up getting $15 in trade.
I do this all of the time. It's too easy to work the system when you know places that sell $1 cds and DVDs or sell items that they know nothing about which in the end helps me.
