BB Reward Zone Renewal Bonus?
Ok, My membership expired on 7/31, as I am sure many others did. Did anyone get a complimentary renewal recently? Or an offer for bonus points if they renewed? I am about to give in and pay the $9.99 so I don't lose my points already. Just curious if there was any hope...

Tonight, I got a 30,000 bonus points for renewing ($9.99 for 1 year). My year expired the end of the September.
I was slightly pissed because the cashier said "Your membership expires in 30 days. You don't have to renew now though." while hitting "no". Saw the 30,000 bonus on the screen. So I asked if there was on offer for renewing. She said "No, I will show you. It's just a reminder notice." After voiding/deleting the declined offer and rescanned my card. Then it was "Wow. I have never seen a bonus offer for renewing. 30,000 points is like getting for free."

I went to renew my membership on 8/31. I asked the cashier if there were any incentives to renew. She said that the 30,000 bonus kept popping up all day. Of course it didn't for me. Probably because my card was not expiring in the Aug-Dec time frame. Anyway, she called corporate and inquired for me. The rep told her that I should get the points and should check in a month. So, it sounds like if I whine a bit, I will probably get the points.

My Reward Zone card also expired 7-31 and I did not renew or was offered a free one-year RZ renewal.
It just doesn't make sense to have to buy items at Best Buy for a total of $160 (including renewal) just to get your first $5 RZ certificate. That's amounts to a 3.1% discount.

Mine expires at the end of November, but got a mailer over the weekend, renewing my membership for one more year and including a coupon for double points on any purchase. Guess I'm not a "devil" customer....
