I couldn't help but notice that there seemed to be more web specials than usual this week- 10% off at Buy.com, 15% off at Tower, $10 off $40 at CH followed the next day by B3G1F at CH. I couldn't help but wonder if these were hastily put together in an attempt to try to get some of the DDD sale business (or maybe they were last ditch efforts to boost sales during the final week of the 2nd quarter).

IMHO I think it's the latter, to boost sales for the final week of 2nd quater.

I also could have sworn that half-way through the week that DVDPacific.com dropped prices on a lot of their stuff too to come down to be more competitive with what DDD was offering too. I think you're right.

Nobody can really compete with this sale, unless they come up with a 25% off store wide sale.

It had a draining effect on my wallet.

It's the end of the fiscal year so there will be many a sale this week to boost numbers.
