Amazon A9 discount not showing up in cart?

Amazon A9 discount not showing up in cart?

I was considering picking up an iPod Mini on sale at Amazon for $236. I went ahead and used A9 for a couple days, and yesterday the discount icon shows up on the shopping cart page, both at the top "A9 Pi/2 %" next to Amazon, and next to the "Proceed to Checkout" icon, there is a "A9 Instant Reward Active" message.

Unfortunately, nothing appears to be discounted in my cart, neither the iPod, a CD, or a movie that I put in. Does the discount show up after you finishing the checkout process?

It worked for me a couple of weeks back, but I haven't ordered anything since then. Just did a test now and indeed the discount does not appear in the cart, even though it says it is active for me on the main page.

It worked for me several weeks back, too, but i just clicked over to Amazon and the A9 icon doesn't appear at all anymore except for the search engine.

I think you have to "use" it for a few days before it shows up in the amazon cart

Amazon is having problems with their discounts. I can get the A9 to work, but no Gold Box item will go into my cart at the sale price.

That's not the problem.

Yes, you have to use A9.com for a few days before the pi/2% off discount goes "active" in your account. When it does it shows up in the upper left hand corner of the Amazon.com screen, and the discount will then start showing up when you place items in your cart. But that isn't happening right now, or at least it wasn't when I last checked yesterday.

I sent a complaint e-mail to Amazon customer service. Initially got back a generic canned response explaining the discount program to me. Duh. So I replied again saying they should actually read what I wrote. They replied with an apology, saying if there is a problem it should be fixed soon, try again later or call and they will apply the discount, etc., etc.

It's still broke for me. The icon shows up and it says that it's 'active' in my cart. But the confirmation/order screen doesn't show the discount. This has been going on for a few days now...

I made three orders yesterday and the A9 discount didn't show up for any of them. I checked my orders today and all three orders are correct and now show the A9 discount.

Thanks for the support, everyone. I went ahead and ordered anyway, and sure enough as mentioned the discount showed in the order history. I made another order just now and the discount now shows up during the checkout process. Went ahead and got the Amazon Visa, so $30 off plus 1.57% plus another 3% rebate makes it worthwhile in getting the iPod.

a9 discount showed up when I was plaing an order today at Amazon. Funny thing is that I have only did one a9 search in the past few weeks. Oh well- saved 52 cents.
