okay, why has ddd posted a release date of 7/26/2005 for the limited edition of ghost in the shell: stand alone complex volume 6?

Probably a price drop. I have seen several already released movies have so-called "new" release dates and wondered the same thing. Then I saw the title listed in another thread about price reductions, which were scheduled for the same date. IMHO, that is when the price drop occurs and they can sell it for that lower price at that time. (Come to think of it I also think someone said something like this in a different thread as well.)
When I first saw this other different movies I wondered if a new release was coming out and why would they so soon after the last release -- I had recently bought it. At first, I was worried that this studio "double-dip" syndrome was getting way out of hand.

Very strange indeed. The Vol. 6 LE just comes out today, and they have already planned for a price drop on 7/26, the same day when Vol. 7 will be released.
Could it be possible that DDD simply messed up?
