Since Half.com's CSRs cannot answer my question regarding the inability to search for new dvds in their database, I thought I would ask the DVD TALK community for help.

I have been unable to find the following dvds using the Half.com search engine:

CLASSIC COMEDIES DVD SET
CONTROVERSIAL CLASSICS DVD SET
PETER GABRIEL - PLAY THE VIDEOS
BOCCACCIO '70
MALEVOLENCE
and many others....

What I don't understand is why I can LIST these dvds for sell at Half.com by typing in the UPCs yet I cannot FIND them when using their search engine (TITLE,ACTOR,DIRECTOR,UPC). The UPCs are in the Half.com database, so shouldn't one be able to search for the titles?

Anyone else having luck finding newer dvd releases at Half.com?

Maybe nobody is selling those movies on half. I'm guessing they only produce search results of items people are trying to sell.

A whole bunch of items that are out of stock show on the site. But probably, at one time or another, at least one person sold one of those, which is why they are there.

I too was looking for the Peter Gabriel DVD. I bought the Phil Collins set last week, and wanted the Play DVD too, but couldn't find it. Hopefully it will be there later.
