First Time Netflix problem

So, I have "Family Guy: Volume 2: Disc 3" at the top of my queue and Netflix says they sent it out, but when the disc comes, it's actually "The Fisher King" (which wasn't in my queue at all).

I contact them and tell them they sent me the wrong disc. Now, I've never had this happen before, but in the past, when I had an unplayable disc, they sent out the replacement right away rather than waiting for me to return the unplayable disc first. This time, however, they say they'll send out a replacement once they receive the disc they erroneously sent me.

Not a huge deal, but given how long the turn-around time is (with the added throttling delays), it's going to be Wednesday at the earliest before I get the replacement disc, which would be a week and a day from when they received the previous disc from me.

Is this a new thing, or have they always waited to send out a replacement in such cases where they screw up and send the wrong disc?

I've had the same thing happen to me in the past, but they immediately sent out the correct disc and still let me have the wrong one so I actually had 4 out at one time. I got a new movie yesterday, and the return envelope is now different. You have to place the disc backwards now, so that the bar code can be seen through the opening at the back of the envelope. I've read that they're going to start scanning returned movies at the post office now, so this may change their disc replacement policy now too.

Yeah that did happen to me. Basically, you get screwed out of a rental the way they do it now. I suppose it isn't a huge deal but why should I take the hit for their screwup? They had it right to begin with, then changed it. I switched to Blockbuster and find them faster and more responsive to problems, YMMV.

I was just about to post regarding the new envelope. They never informed me to make the bar code visible when returning. For all I know, that's something they use when getting the movie to me. I have been in the habit of putting the disk in upright face front, as I suspect many of us are.
So will returning w/ bar code visible help it get processed faster, thus getting me another movie faster? What if I return 2 in one envelope? Will they ask us not to do that anymore?
