Amazon Visa Card Question

Don't you have to spend somewhere around $834 on Amazon.com to receive a $25 off gift certificate. I have been thinking about signing up for this card but I already have a capital one Visa card. I do not see the use of having two Visas but you get basically a 2% bonus with the amazon visa.

Good deal and good card. I used the $30 to get the complete farside collection for $24 ($135 cover price, was on sale for $54).
Interest rate is on par with cards I have no (11 something variable) earning amazon GC's is nice. They gave me a ridiculously high credit line compared to my other cards, which surprised me since I'm only 26 (though my credit is pristine so far).

I've had the card for over a year and I think its great. Essentially its a 1% cash back card for non Amazon purchases. Bought my widescreen TV at Amazon and got 3 points for each dollar, which was pretty sweet. Gift certificates usually come within days after the billing statement. No problems, no issues. Highly recommended!

Does anyone know if this card offers Visa's Warranty Manager Service?

I was seriously thinking about it earlier this past year but in comparing it to my current card -- USAA Platinum -- I figured it wasn't really worth it. I get 3% cash back (once a year) off anything I buy (including Amazon) with my USAA card compared to 3% just from Amazon. Buying a laptop ended up giving me around $75 cash back for 2004. Not too shabby. Now to pay off the balance ;p
btw. I highly recommend USAA Federal Savings Bank -- good for anyone, not just military -- as opposed to the insurance program. My checking account has no minimum balance and earns 1/2% interest monthly for crying out loud.

another question...is it possible to kinda figure out what the standard APR could be by comparing it to the cash advance APR? I'm still in my 6 month 0% APR period but my CA is high as hell. I have called but was told they won't know until after my 6 month period is up. does this mean my regular APR will be high too? every other card I've ever had/currently have has around 15% or lower APR with CA APR being around 19% or lower but this card has me at almost 22% for cash advance.
anyone care to share their APR rates?

I switched from the Amazon card to flexible rewards card. You earn 1 point per dollar and get a $25 GC or check for every 2,500 points. Alternatively, you can exchange points for merchandise, travel, etc. Essentially it's 1% back, and I can get the $25 check and spend it anywhere I want. The Amazon card is good only if you consistently buy from Amazon (and get 3% back).

I am looking at purchasing something on amazon.com, but not directly from amazon and applying for the amazon visa. Do you still get the 3 pts for every dollar if you purchase it on amazon.com, just not directly from amazon?
