Netflix is hardly alone in that "business model". Replace Netflix with DirecTV and everything about your story is the same with me.

I canceled DirecTV more than a year ago and am still getting both email and mail about coming back. The "come back" offer is never any better than what I can get as a new customer.

Today makes 3 broken discs. I actually called to complain and was instead told that I should contact my local post office. I love how they try to pass the buck. I complained enough to get a free rental out of the deal but it's still pretty aggravating.

I'm disgusted with Netflix. Signed up last month, first time in a while, but I have been a steady customer since they started. I didn't get a single new release shipped to me the whole damn month and I got two broken discs and one that was almost unplayable, but survived long enough for me to finish watching.

I called to complain and canceled. I at least got a refund for the second month they had charged me for the day before. What is the point of renting if you never get any new releases?

I dropped out March 5, and returned the two discs I had out to them the same day. My billing period ended on the 8th. Today, I received two e-mails stating they had not received the discs, and I would be charged for them. After renting well over 100 discs with no discs lost, it's amazing the last two discs sent back after dropping my membership would be lost. Coincidence? I don't think so.

Ironically, just a few days after calling to complain about something, Netflix didn't check in any of the titles I shipped back on Saturday. Now, I've been mailing on Saturday in order to get new releases shipped on Monday for quite some time and this has never happened.

Ok..I've now had this happen three times in the last few weeks. This time it was shipped from Texas #22 in the queue no less. I called again and got a bonus disc. I'll stick with netflix as long as they continue to send out the bonus disc when issues like this arise. It's nice that the bonus disc is usually top five on my list and usually listed as Very Long Wait.

I guess the wait isn't that long afterall They just say it is.

I've been getting throttled more lately too. But they're still sending me HD DVDs, so they have me by the balls.

throttle means you rent so many discs per month that Netflix purposely delays shipping your discs so you'll slow down.

What's up with the new queue look.. ugh, it doesn't even tell you if you have blu-ray or DVD in your list.

I'm getting a 5% credit since the web site was down Monday and they delayed my shipment.

Exactly what I came here to bitch about! I hope it changes soon...the only reason I'm hanging onto Netflix is for the HD DVD rentals. But now they're skipping over those in my queue even if they're available.

For the first time, Netflix jumped 6 discs (!) down my queue to send me something. What the hell?

Same here. Those 6 wouldn't happen to be Battlestar Season 3, would they? It doesn't say there's any wait so I wonder why they skipped them all.

I've never had a problem with them so I'm not that upset. Atonement and Enchanted are on the way instead.

No, they were The Wire. I was really pissed because I've been burning my way through the show and am eager to continue watching.

My queue states movies are shipping Tuesday yet I am getting emails stating they will ARRIVE on Tuesday. Anyone else getting this conflicting information? This problem just started happening with the "new" queue...

same exact thing happened to me today... they got back 3 movies I shipped to them... and early in the day it said 3 were shipping today... then by mid afternoon it said all 3 would ship tuesday (which pissed me off!)... then I got shipping emails saying to expect them tuesday and now when I look at my queue it shows they shipped and should be here tomorrow... sometimes I can't figure them out... and yes, I too have had many "available" movies skipped over recently & they send me things 2, 4, 6, or further down the list on my queue...

Same thing happened to me today. Instead of finishing up the run on the tv show I've been working on, they went at least 8 discs down on my queue and shipped 4 random titles.

Anyone else have a ton of titles suddenly moving to a wait status? I had just a handful of titles in my queue (163 total) that were wait listed. Now, I'd say a good 50% of my queue is wait listed.

I actually called last night and the CSR I spoke to said it appears to be a glitch. Something to do with an update gone wrong. Looking at my queue now, I still have movies wait listed that weren't before but it's not nearly as bad as it was last night.

This week started with 4 discs far lower in my queue then usual (I only have the 3 at a time plan), and ends with 3 discs about 20 into my queue. Hopefully they straighten out their stuff.

They've been a bit strange with my queue this week too, skipping over available titles near the top to go about 10-15 titles down.

Anybody here been able to get The Mist? I know it was a Blockbuster exclusive, but it came out over a month ago and I still have not been able to get it. I've had it as my number one since it was released and it always gets passed over. It still lists it as very long wait. I'm thinking about calling them and seeing what's up.
