eCampus - do they ever actually ship anything?
I placed an order on Sept 13 for an "in stock" item - and it's been "processing" ever since.
The interesting thing is that when I went on site to look at the status of my order, I see that I also placed on order with them in March 2003 - and that order was never filled.
Naturally. my email inquiry sent on Friday (four days after placing the new order) has gone unanswered.
What's with these guys?

They've bad news. Check out their BBB rap sheet:
Based on BBB files, this company has an unsatisfactory record with the Bureau due to unresolved complaints. The company has resolved most complaints presented by the Bureau, however the company did not always respond to complaints within the Bureau's time frame. At least one complaint remains unresolved because the customer was not satisfied with the company's response. Other complaints remain unanswered; the Bureau did not receive a response.
Complaints concern delivery issues, advertising practices, service issues, refund issues, selling practices, and billing or credit issues.
Consumer complaints concern failure to ship the books as promised, failure to notify of delays and charging restocking fees. Some complaints allege failure to pay for buybacks as promised.

The BBB's just a scam - if a company has a good rating with the BBB you can never trust that it is because the company is a good company, or if they just paid the protection money, er "membership fees" to have unresolved complaints "expire" off their record.
It has been a few years since I looked into the BBB (after getting a right rough buggering from a BBB-certified merchant) but as I recall, if you a business bought and maintained a membership with the BBB any record of unresolved complaints would expire in six months or so. If you follow the money, it makes sense (BBB is 100% funded by "member" companies, but not a single dollar from anything like the customer's side).
On the other hand, if a company does have a bad record then the BBB, then they probably do suck since the BBB probably doesn't make stuff up.

I've received a couple DVDs from them, but never received one item that was "processing" for EVER before they cancelled it. Luckily they don't charge you until it ships.
FYI: If you're waiting on the Wicker Man LE, you won't get it

Well, I now can answer my own question.
On Sept 30 I received the following in an email:
"At this time, we still expect to fill your order and shipping should occur
soon. We are sorry for any problems that may be caused due to this shipping
delay. You will be notified by email once your item(s) ships from our
facility."
On Oct 27 this showed up:
"On your recent order, number 4138xxx, we have been unable to locate a
supplier for one or more items. The following items have been cancelled
from your order:
xxxxxxx
We are very sorry for any complications that this cancellation may cause
you. Your credit card has not been charged for this item, as it is company
policy to only charge once an item has shipped from our Shipping Facility.
Thank you,
ecampus.com"
So, as far as I'm concerned, they simply offer an exercise in frustration, and have been moved permanently to my shitlist.
