Suncoast buying stock elsewhere?
Just a random question. I was there today looking around and noticed they had some Disney movies on sale. I noticed a couple that had walmart price stickers on it, and they had put their own price on there.
Just curious if this is abnormal for stores to buy stock elsewhere?

Probably just a mixup at the warehouse level. At Kmart, movies and music are handled by a seperate company, [inventory is handled by a rep - the rep orders and sends back movies] and it'll sometimes receive movies with Wal-Mart stickers on them.

Another possibility is that a clerk accepted them as exchanges. Pretty lazy and pathetic, but possible . . .
That reminds me. Many moons ago when I was working for Suncoast, I was sorting our usual Friday shipment and noticed something peculiar about some of the new VHS releases for the next week (this when DVD was just coming around). I pulled out a couple of the "Simon Birch" tapes and examined them a little closer . . . finally I caved in and opened one of them to find that it was a used rental tape from Family Video with their stickers still on it (which made it even stranger). I opened up a few more and found that about half of them were used rental tapes that were sent to us by the studio!
