DVDEmpire

they had the Billy Jack Collection for $9.xx and free shipping on 3 or more titles, so I ordered Billy Jack and two more.....then they cancelled Billy Jack and shipped my other 2 movies and charged for shipping......
I e-mailed to protest, so I'll see if they do the right thing and give back the shipping cost.....they should give the option to order another movie or cancel the whole thing....

I don't know why you need to be insulting to the company before they have a chance to rectify the situation first. No website is perfect and mistakes can happen. But I did have shipping charges added to a few of my orders at DVDEmpire. Customer service was helpful and issued refunds for the charges. I do agree it would be a good idea to put your order on hold before shipping it to give you a chance to add an item or cancel. Perhaps if they read this thread they may implement such changes to their site in the future. I have found DVDEmpire to be one of the few internet stores that listens and responds to their customers at DVDTalk.

first, I'm not sure that "wiener" can be considered an insult--I think it falls under the heading of chiding....something said when dissatisfied but not said in anger...wiener is pretty tame.
But to update, I received an e-mail with the promise that the shipping charge would be removed; so if it seemed like I was insulting DVDEmpire, I take it back. All is forgiven. And they have low, low prices! There, are you happy now....

They've become one of my favorites for a number of reasons, and that's just one more.

DVDEmpire is by far the best online DVD retailer.

I always find myself passing on dvdempire due to their pricing (compared to DDD.) Plus, living in PA, I have to pay tax. Maybe I should just try them once...given they ship faster than DDD (from what I have heard.)

I almost ordered the Billy Jack collection from them when I saw it listed on Dvdpricesearch. Glad I didnt because I was trying to find enough to get free shipping but I couldnt find anything else so I passed. I think BJC was listed as on-order at that time.

Usually they're good for pre-ordering Criterions with a coupon, but the upcoming Ozu (Early Summer) is not eligible for free shipping so it's not such a good deal. I'm looking elsewhere.

If you want your orders guaranteed shipped the same day, nobody beats DVDEmpire. They ship like clockwork. Preorders always ship the friday before release and Priority Mail will get you your discs 95% of the time on Monday and the other 5% on Tuesday. Wish I had known about them while I was using DVDPlanet for all those years.

I also ordered the Billy Jack Colection along with 2 other titles to get free shipping. They shipped the other two titles and charged me posted. I sent them an e-mail and they got back to me in less than 2 hours telling me that they were issuing a credit for shipping. This is great service. They're ok in my book!

So did anyone actually get that deal on the Billy Jack set?
