Where does DDD ship from?

And, does it have anything to do with shipping time? I chose free shipping, I live in New Jersey, and I was wondering approx. how many days it should take...

My order that arrived today here in NYC was shipped 8 days ago - for pre-Christmas, that's not too bad for Media Mail (the free shipping).

P.S. - this really should have been posted in the Store Forum

Itasca is in the Chicago west burbs. So am I. I had a package supposedly ship the day before Thanksgiving and still haven't seen it. Suffice it to say I won't be using the frees shipping from them again.

I'm in northern michigan and it takes 3-7 days to get to me....no rhyme nor reason. I've already received two Media Mail packages from the sale though....second one came today 7 days after I PLACED the order......none too shabby.

Im not too far from Itasca and I ususally get my DVD orders within 2-3 days after I get a delivery confirmation. Too bad I have to pay the higher Illinois taxes for this...

Free shipping clearly says 5 to 10 business days. Today is the 9th business day since the day before Thanksgiving.

I'm also in Jersey, and it usually takes between 5-8 days for me to receive my orders.

Even in peak volume times, it does not take 10 business days to go 15 miles. Not even if it went downtown to process first. All my other orders in the past have arrived in 2-4 business days.

I suspect the shipping notices are being generated at the time your card is charged, and not necessarily when the package enters the USPS system.

I wouldn't mind the wait if I knew it was coming for sure via tracking.

Also, I ordered before the coupons hit, so this should have definitely avoided that rush of orders.

Mediamail can take a long time.

The USPS has up to 21 business days to deliver it in the continental US and they quite often "make the most of it" (as it were).

If tracked, you can watch the progress- sometimes it's pretty interesting. Once I had a package sit at my local hub for over a week before it went anywhere. With everything else I usually receive it the next day from that location.

USPS sucks you really can't blame DDD. Seem everytime I order anything and have it shipped USPS it takes forever.

I perfer to pay for Fedex if given the option. I like tracking so I know where my stuff is.
