Anyone with any experience with defective discs from DDD?

My Buffy S3 disc 2 was all scratched and wouldn't really play, and I wrote them and asked if they could just send another one, since they'd end up with a bum set anyway. No dice, which I kinda expected, but they did say I could return just the bad disc and they'd ship me a replacement. I shipped it back 20 Jan, they received it 21 Jan, and I still haven't gotten the new one. Now assuming they shipped the new one media mail (eye roll), I still think I would have had it by now, since my regular orders don't take more than five or six days.

Any thoughts or catty remarks?

not a ton to offer...

I've only ever had to return a complete package, but I never had a single problem with them. In fact, I've found them to be one of the more helpful sites and go to them as much as possible.

Oh, I'm not out for blood, and I thought it was fairly cool of them to let me keep the 5 good discs, but I'm anal, and I was watching the season in order, and now I have to wait.

I love 'em. Almost all of my DVDs are bought from there.

I used to love them, even with my defective The Rock criterion (had to send it back twice, each were bad in the same way, ended up contacting Criterion who sent me a good copy).

That said, some things on recent orders have me cheesed off enough to say they will be (at best) the 3rd or 4th retailer I would consider.

Did they send you a shipping label or did you folks shipthe defective dvds at your expense? I swear they told me that I would get a shipping label to send back my Rambo trilogy set that got damaged in transit but it's been over a week.

I talked to a guy on a damaged disc in a Mash set and he said he would send a replacement (one disc), Never happened. Called again about three weeks later looking for the disc and spoke to a woman who sent a new Mash set and a prepaid label to return the damaged set. She indicated they would never send out a single disc to replace a damaged disc in a set but would only swap disc for disc or set for set. I'm guessing that whoever you talked to thought Buffy was a single disc. I suggest you call and straighten it out.

I had a bad Malcolm in the Middle disc 2 & was missing the booklet. They sent me disc 2 & booklet instead of the whole set so I guess it depends on who u talk to.

Update: about three days have I posted my snarky missive, I got the replacement disc. They even sent it in the same random CD case I used to send the defective one. All is forgiven.
