More DVDSoon Policy Changes
You will recall that about a month ago DVDSoon changed their shipping policies so that they automatically shipped anything "on hand" even if there were back-orders in the order and allowed free ground shipping for any size order. They also discontinued the policy of giving a $1CAD credit for completed orders of 3 or more DVDS.
Well...they have now made several modifications to their shipping policy as follows:
1. If you want to have "on hand" items shipped "immediately" [I use the term "immediately" loosely since they never seem to ship items very quickly] you will pay $1CAD per ITEM for airmail shipping or $8CAD per ORDER for courier shipment.
2. Free AIRMAIL shipping is available for orders of $100CAD or more. You can still get free GROUND shipping for orders under $100CAD...but if the item is lost in shipping they say that they will not replace it. (Whether or not you could make a successful credit card chargeback in that situation is something that I will not speculate on.)
When I made this post they had also offered Free COURIER shipping for orders over $300CAD. Now one day later that has disappeared!!
3. If your order contains 4 DVDs or more they will give you a $1CAD credit for each item after the order ships. (Not clear what happens if you choose the ship "on hand" items as they are available but presumably you would still get the credit once the entire order ships - at least they don't say anything about excluding such orders.)
These policies appear to be applicable both domestically (i.e. Canada) as well as to the USA and all foreign locations to which they ship.
P.S. They are also continuing their "musical chairs" policy on their prices. For example I had noticed that they were showing the Summer Lovers DVD pre-order for the last week or so at $15.98CAD...then on Tuesday it was down to $14.98CAD...on Wednesday it went back up to $15.98CAD...then yesterday it was down to $13.98CAD where it still is this morning. Other DVDS have had the same activity.

You are right - it has disappeared. There was a reference on the shipping page to Free courier shipping if over $300CAD as part of a pargraph title something like changes effective November 27. That whole paragraph is now MIA. The rest seems to be the same for now...but check back in an hour...who knows!!

Earlier this week I went to check on my account with DVDsoon.
I entered my user name and password as I have done for over the past year, but this time I was refused access, after trying again several times and turning off and then on my computer still nothing.
So I sent them e-mail to find out what the problem was.
I tried it again to log-in each day and then again sending more e-mail, its now been over a week and I haven't even received a reply from them.
I have been dealing with them now for over a year now and have had no reason to complain.
Because I live in Europe their shipping First attracted me to them, I have several orders coming up which I need to manage and I also have quite a bit of cash credit in my account, which I can't access.
Does anyone have any ideas or has anyone had similar problems with these guys?
Sincerely
Andy

I have been able to log in to my account all week without any problem. I remember that I once had this problem when I inadvertantly entered an incorrect character as I was logging in...I thought I was still in another window...so from then on it would not recognize me. So I totally re-entered my password but still could not get in. I then used their "forgot password" system and my password was emailed to me and I realized that what I thought was my password was incorrect. Anyway...the long and short of what I am saying is have you tried the "forgot password" system and get them to send your password to you?
