Circuit City Return Question

So I'm thinking about buying the gamecube from CC on Friday. If I buy the GC with a game 29.99 or up, I get a thirty dollar gift card. Now, let's say that I return the GC, but not the game, do I have to return the giftcard as well, or do they credit that against my refund?

what if I returned both the gamecube and the game?

thanks.

So that means that there isn't a discount? That sucks.

To pay for the gift card, they take 30 dollars off the price of the GameCube or game, then put that towards the card. When returning, unless you bring back the card, you only get the value of the purchase minus the value of the card (30 dollars).

yeah. i figured that out at about 7 am yesterday morning. anyway, though, they only took 23 bucks off the gamecube, and seven bucks off Super Mario Sunshine. I used the gift card on some stuff that I was going to have to buy anyways. So by returning the gamecube it's just as if I paid normal for everything but with getting SMS for 7 dollars off. So even though the entire thing was a hassle, I still end up with a slight discount.
