Is Deepdiscountdvd a good place to order from? Do they have fast shipping? I was thinking about preordering LOTR, as they seem to have the best price but I don't want to have to wait forever for it to ship.

your best bet is to do a search on them. Basically they have good cs but shipping can be slow to some areas.

With the free shipping, I've received discs from 3 to 5 days after their release date. I'm not sure how they are when you pay for the faster shipping.

Their prices for old titles are low but for new releases and pre-orders, try somewhere else.

I highly reccommend DDD. I have been backordered a couple of times though. The free shipping usually takes five days to get to my house. They will match any online price!

Highly recommended, again if you choose free shipping expect to wait awhile. But that's really dependent on how far away you are from Illinois where everything is shipped. When I've paid for flat shipping - priority mail (which is a good deal), I received DVDs as soon as two days. Really depends on your patience and how soon you want the DVDs.

One of my 3 favorite online DVD retailers along with Amazon.com (canada as well) and DVD Empire. They have their sheeyat together.

So far so good; for International customers the cap on shipping is a real boon...I currently only buy from DDD when purchasing from the States. However feel that shipping could be faster, but at $14.95 max capped shipping, who am I to complain? BTW CS is great; there was 1 lost shipment, but they made it up with no questions asked; will definitely go back to them again and again...

do you ever get confirmation emails? i ordered 2 dvds the other day, fri. or sat. maybe, and i haven't heard a word on their status.

My experience with DDD has been positive. Their price is usually one of the lowest. I always pick free shipping using media mail. It takes about 2 weeks for the package to get to California.

They're really good from the 2 transactions I've had with them. Ordered Beauty & the Beast and Spidey from them with standard shipping. I found B&tB at my door the day it came out, and the Spidey DVD shipped last Friday, so maybe I'll get that one early! Got order and shipping confirmations for both of them.

Yes, received a confirmation e-mail every time. Also for multiple shipments they confirm when they ship.

However just like some other users have fedback, occassionally your record does disappear, esp when u save your shoping cart and come back some other day...hope they fix this glitch soon..

I've ordered a good number of DVD's from DDD and have been very pleased with prices and service. They may not be the quickest to get DVD's out, but they're prices are usually very good, and with free shipping worked into the equation you can't beat it! I always check there first when pricing DVD's.

They also seem to be good about honoring price mistakes. Sometimes my Order status is outdated (ex: last week I was watching a DVD they still reported as back-ordered), but they generally catch up before to long and have never lost one of my orders.

I had a few problems with my last order (the item showed up as being in stock, but was actually out of stock and it took ~ 3 weeks to get it), but other than that I've had good luck with them. As far as shipping times, I get my media mail deliveries in a timely manner, but then again I'm in the same state.
